Raise your hand if you’ve Googled “why am I always so tired?” more times than you can count since becoming a mum 🙋‍♀️

Feeling constantly run down, getting sick all the time or taking ages to recover isn’t something you just have to accept as “normal mum life.”

A lot of the time it’s your body asking for a different kind of support…and that support isn’t always another supplement or trying to squeeze in more rest.

Sometimes it’s gentle, consistent movement that supports your body instead of pushing it harder when it’s already depleted.

I work with mums whose bodies are still very much in recovery mode whether they’re four months postpartum or four years.

Because postpartum recovery doesn’t magically end after six weeks.

It’s a whole season of life and you deserve support from someone who actually understands that 💜

Save this post and send it to a mum who needs this reminder today.

One of the biggest mindset shifts I’ve made over the years is learning that not every workout needs to leave you exhausted.

There are seasons where you’re feeling energised, sleeping well and ready to push yourself. And then there are weeks where life is full, stress is high, sleep is broken, the kids are sick, work is busy, or you’re simply not feeling 100%.

On those days, pulling back isn’t failing. It’s being smart.

Maybe that means lighter weights.
Maybe it means a shorter session.
Maybe it’s taking longer rests between sets.
Maybe it means swapping a tough workout for a walk.

I think many women believe they have two choices:

Go all in OR Do nothing.

But the magic is usually in the middle.
The workout you can do today will always beat the perfect workout you never start.

The women who stay active for years aren’t the ones who never miss a workout or always train at 100%. They’re the ones who learn how to adapt when life gets messy.

Because the goal isn’t to “win the workout”.
The goal is to support the body you’re in today and long term.

Some days you push.
Some days you maintain.
Some days you simply move.

All of it counts 💜

This one’s for the mum who has been sick every other week this year...

Your body is going through a lot right now and it deserves support and understanding

Struggling with your immunity in the postpartum period is something so many mums experience. Many mums experience a hormonal crash after having a baby and it affects how you feel, how you recover and how you show up every day.

At Lifted, we understand what it’s like to go through motherhood and all of our sessions are designed to support you on any given day.

When you see the MumSafe™ badge on a trainer’s profile, it means they’ve met every one of these standards before they were allowed to carry it.

Every single one, not most of them - all five.

MumSafe is the gold standard and it exists because mums deserve exercise professionals who have prepared done the work and uphold best practice.

I chose to become a MumSafe Trainer because I believe the mums I work with deserve to know before they ever book a session that the person in front of them is educated and qualified to look after them.

If you’ve ever wondered what separates a MumSafe Trainer from a regular PT who works with mums this is your answer.

If you know a mum who’s trying to find the right trainer i’d love for you to share this with her. My Term 3 waitlist is now open & it might make her decision a whole lot easier 💜

Which tells you everything you need to know about the gap that exists in women’s health and fitness education.

After having my first baby, I did what most mums do. I returned to exercise using the information I had available at the time, followed general fitness advice and trusted that if something felt okay, it was probably okay.

I wasn’t doing anything wrong. I just didn’t know what I didn’t know.

When I started studying to become a Personal Trainer, I was already 18 months postpartum. During my course, a pelvic health physiotherapist delivered a seminar that completely changed the way I thought about pregnancy, birth and recovery.

For the first time, I understood what happens to the pelvic floor, the abdominal wall and the pressure systems within the body. I learned why so many women are told they’re “fine” to exercise, yet still don’t feel quite right.

The biggest realisation? If I hadn’t attended that seminar, I probably would have continued exercising the same way I had been for the previous 18 months - completely unaware of what I didn’t know.

So I kept learning.

I became a MumSafe Trainer and invested in specialised pre and postnatal education. One of the things I value most about MumSafe is that the learning never stops. We’re continually updating our knowledge through professional development, emerging research and collaboration with women’s health professionals.

Because mums deserve coaching that’s based on what we know now, not what we thought we knew then.

That’s the coach I needed when I became a mum and it’s the coach I strive to be today.

If you’re trying to figure out where to start - or where to start again - send me a message. I’d love to help 💜

There are a lot of trainers out there who work with mums. There are fewer who have done everything it actually takes to do it well.

I have the pre and postnatal certifications, I have the specific insurance, I have a pelvic health physios I can refer clients to so we can understand your body from the inside out. I’m registered with AUSactive & I keep investing in education because I genuinely want to be better at this than I was last year.

That’s what being a MumSafe Trainer means. It’s the gold standard.

If you’re a mum who’s been wondering whether it’s safe to start training or go harder and finally do something just for yourself, I’m the person to ask.

💬 Send me a message or drop a question in the comments, Term 3 enrolments open soon and let’s figure out if we’re a good fit 💜

Being “Strong as a Mother” means having the confidence to pick up your child without hesitation. It means breathing through the chaos, trusting your body and feeling at home in your own skin.

Your body is the foundation for everything you do as a mum and it deserves to be treated with the respect it has earned.

My mission as an exercise professional is to provide a safe and supportive space on that journey. Whether you are 6 weeks or 6 years postpartum, you deserve a roadmap that respects your individual circumstances, your goals and the season of life you’re in. You deserve to be seen for the athlete you already are in your daily life.

Watching that spark of confidence return and your strength build is one of the greatest privileges of my work.

You spend your days lifting, carrying, bending, reaching, walking, comforting and caring. Never underestimate the strength that requires. Motherhood asks a lot of you - physically, mentally and emotionally - and so much of that effort goes unseen.

You are doing important work. And you are stronger than you think. 💜
