🦁 Lions volunteers needed this weekend - Junior Canteen! 🦁

~We're looking for a few volunteers to help out in the junior canteen this Sunday at Jubilee, starting from 8:30am.

Westlands United host Lions at Croatia Park on Sunday in the latest round of the Jim Lawrenson League Championship.
Westlands are searching desperately for their first points of the season, but face a Lions side who produced a good 5-3 win over Wanderers last time out.
Shane Dunbar has been fantastic for the Red Devils so far in 2026, but he will need the likes of Dix, Hersbach, De Chiara and Robinson to all contribute if they are to trouble a resurgent Lions side.
Lions may be without a few key defenders this week, which coach Murphy will have to cover, but they do have a deep squad, and should be ok.
Cash continues to produce the goods, scoring a hat-trick against Wanderers in their last game. Jordan VK has been in great form, the veteran Gonzalez found the back of the net last time out, and with James Hazel potentially coming into the starting line-up this week, Lions appear to have many attacking weapons at the ready.
Westlands will have to try and take advantage of a makeshift Lions defence if they are to get a result in this one.
Can the Reds get a much needed win, or will Lions continue their title push?

State Championships 🏆

Whyalla Lions Soccer Club would like to wish all Whyalla junior players the very best of luck this weekend as they head to Adelaide to compete in the State Championships.

A huge thank you to all the coaches, team staff, parents, and players for the dedication, commitment, and hard work put in over the past few weeks in preparation for the tournament.

A big congratulations to Rhys Chilton on making his Reserves debut today at Worsnop Park. 👏🏽

Stepping up from our Under 17s, Rhys put in a fantastic performance at centre-back in tough, wet conditions. He looked right at home, held his own throughout the match, and played an important role in helping the team secure the win. 💛🖤
