Before we sign off for the year, we would like to take a moment to thank an important & valued member of our little Island footy club.

Sean ‘Limey’ Caris, this one’s for you!

Thank you Sean, for everything you have done for our local footy kids. You are a passionate, committed & respected umpire! You show care for our young players, week in & week out. Put simply, they wouldn’t have been able to play any of these games without you turning up for them. Thank you from all of us!

We look forward to welcoming you back in 2028 as an umpire but more importantly seeing you join us on Saturdays in 2027 for the first time as a footy family. 🙏🙌🏉🏉🏉

Well that’s a wrap for FIJFC for 2026. Thank you to everyone who supported our junior footy players & club this year! It’s been a fabulous season & what a cracking grand final day to top it off!!!

Grand Final 2026
We can’t wait to see you all tomorrow. Let’s get behind the teams, cheer them on, clap for their efforts, respect our umpires, and most of all, see our kids have fun out there! That’s what Junior Footy is all about. 🏉🏉🏉👏👏👏👏

A few reminders:

Parking - Please don’t park on the boundary line. We ask that people are a minimum of 3 metres from the lines. Feel free to bring along a camp chair if you would like a seat. Junior footy is also a smoke free event.

Cash for Lions stall or direct deposit. No eftpos. Last chance to purchase a raffle ticket.

See you on the field. It’s looking the goods thanks to a crew of merry helpers!!!

FIJFC Raffle will be drawn this Saturday @ the Grand Final. Tickets still available at a Bowmans store. Bring along some cash if you would like to purchase some on Grand Final Day.

Footy is on!

We are low on player & volunteer numbers in some leagues. However, we have worked through some options to make sure the kids get a game and a run around. 🙌

No Toni & the cafe at the game today. Rug up, it’s a cold one.
