🏆 Weekend Wrap-Up 🏆

What a way to finish the tournament!

We started yesterday with two wins in the morning before heading into the Gold Medal game in the afternoon. We were hungry for gold, but despite a gallant effort, we came away with Silver, going down 11–4.

This team showed incredible heart all weekend, battling through injuries, soreness, and exhaustion, yet still stepping onto the field ready to fight. We saw amazing catches, double plays, strikeouts, and some pure genius with the bats (when we could actually see the ball 🤣).

A special congratulations to our MVP for the weekend, Kate. She was a standout in every single game, scoring runs in every match. Her outstanding glove work and batting shone throughout the tournament. A very well-deserved award—congratulations, Kate! 👏

A big thank you to our wonderful scorers, Andrew and Annmarie. You both did an amazing job, and everything ran seamlessly because of your efforts.

Thank you also to our umpire, Matt from Wagga, who travelled to join us and was awarded the C Grade Bronze Medal Plate. Well done, Matt ❤️

And finally, a huge thank you to our incredible Masters Committee—Jackie, Yona, Robyn, and Sharon—for all the hard work that goes into organising a fantastic weekend like this. Your dedication is truly appreciated.

Day one done and dusted at VIC Masters. We had a very chilly, cold, frosty and Foggy start but that didn’t stop our enthusiasm and determination to get some wins on the board.
We finished the day with two wins and one loss, so a very good start to what will be 8 games and then hopefully a final.

Early start again tomorrow but let’s hope with a little less fog 🫪

🥎❤️🤍🩶 Congratulations to Mary Annett on being awarded Life Membership of Northvale Softball Club! 🩶🤍❤️🥎

Life Membership is the highest honour our club can bestow. It is reserved for members who have provided more than 20 years of dedicated service and made a significant and lasting contribution to the club.

Mary's Northvale journey began around 26 years ago when she joined as a 9-year-old junior player. Since then, she has given countless hours to the club in a variety of roles, including junior coach, Club Treasurer, Committee Member, and more recently as a representative on the Waverley Match Committee.

Throughout her many years at Northvale, Mary has demonstrated unwavering loyalty, dedication, and commitment. Her contributions both on and off the diamond have played an important role in the ongoing success and growth of our club.

We thank Mary for her years of service and congratulate her on this well-deserved recognition.

In the clubs 50 plus year history there have only been two other players to have reached a staggering 600 games played and now Sharon joins that club.

This achievement is something to aspire too.

With more than 25 years in this club, Sharon has shown her commitment and loyalty to this wonderful club.

She is our president, coach, mentor, teammate and friend.

Shaz is always there to lend a hand with anything that needs doing at club & association level and we are so proud to have her by our side.

Congratulations Kate on achieving your 250 game award, this is a tremendous achievement.

You also snagged the special Club Spirit Award this season for all your hard work coordinating our duty days, making sure we have people at the grounds to do set up and pack as well as ensuring that we have the canteen duty covered. Whenever we have been stuck with this you have given up your own game time to cover the canteen, so thank you for all you do for our club it is very much appreciated.

Where do we start with our next award winners.

It is hard enough to win Most Valuable Player once let alone win it two years in a row and on top of that take it out across both teams this season. Anthea you truly are an incredible player and we are so very lucky that you decided to come back to playing after over 20 years away from the game and our club. 🥎❤️🤍🩶🥎

Michelle you have been a force on the pitching mound in open 3 this season and the votes you have collected over the season just prove that.

A standout all-rounder, Anthea was exceptional both offensively and defensively, with big hits, crucial catches, and high impact plays in key moments.

What an absolute fantastic season these next two ladies have had. Being awarded Runner Up Most Valuable Player award by your team mates is not small feet. It has been wonderful to watch both Sharon and Jane play to the high standard they do week in week out. They give it everything they have and they leave it all out on the diamond.

Miss Jane has also racked up her 350 games with Northvale which is an outstanding achievement. Your dedication to our club and the commitment and support you provide everyone is lovely to see. Congratulations😘

A valued team member on and off the field, Robyn contributed with strong batting and demonstrated great team spirit, particularly in supporting roles.

Kathy - Open 3 Coaches Award...
A powerful hitter and impactful fielder, Kath produced big plays throughout the season, including clutch hits, strong outfield work, and memorable moments at first base.
