Just as our newly elected Council President announces that a pool for Denmark is "off the agenda" and that it's not viable for a town with a population under 10,000, the town of Kulin, with a population of just 620 is celebrating their new water playground slide. Well done Shire of Kulin!!

POOL MEETING TOMORROW!!!!
5pm Tuesday 12 August
Denmark Shire
Try to make it. If we can just allow everyone the chance to really understand the impacts - the benefits and the risks with full transparency - then we can choose together. I think a pool is worth it! Do you?

WELL DONE DENMARK

Thank you SO MUCH to the crowd of supporters who, I believe, really made this possible by ensuring they bore witness to the processes and gave evidence in their numbers to ensure we were represented properly.

Thank you SO MUCH to Jan Lewis who has bravely championed this project and who has given us voice.

Almost ALL of our Council Members spoke up for the need to offer our community transparency and the opportunity to view what DACCI and the Shire of Denmark have invested in over the past years.

This means we will have a special meeting on:

A decades-long call for Denmark to have its own aquatic facility is being renewed, with the council to consider conducting a poll to gauge the community’s appetite for a pool at this week’s ordinary meeting.

1 Day to Go!!!!
Meeting - 4pm Tuesday 29 July - Denmark Shire
Whether born with a disability, acquired or caused by a degenerative condition - warm water offers people a moment of relief, of freedom and of joy. As someone who has worked with those who have disabilities, I am very aware of the utter joy and blessing that warm water provides. Suddenly, a person who is limited to moving in highly restricted ways can enjoy the ease and freedom of floating, the gentle touch of the water and the easing of aches. Seeing the delight and radiance on faces and knowing the excited anticipation makes me certain that a pool is not a luxury for these members of our community. Having a warm program pool is bliss. Please support the pool and consider all the happy smiles you will be creating in our community!!!!
