This is a very difficult post to write. Shiloh Equestrian will no longer be offering riding lessons or equine therapy visits. Insurance is the key reason for this. It has become increasingly difficult to source affordable insurance and now, for a variety of reasons I can only surmise, insurance companies will not insure properties with equine activities or with more than 4 horses. COVID, floods and fire have changed life (and insurance companies) and so we must all adapt.
The memories of the little Standardbred horse that started the whole journey; memories of past clients; the people I met along the way - all have made my life richer and more rewarding.

Gayna Harvey is a lady who saw the problem, can't fix the problem but knew she could at least do SOMETHING to help the people struggling because of the problem. The problem is drought. The solution is rain. The fix will be at least 12 months coming. But in the meantime, Gayna has rallied family, friends and her local businesses to do SOMETHING to let people struggling know that there are people in the city who SEE US, HEAR US and GIVE A DAMN.
There is love and compassion on the way to West Wyalong in the form of animal feed, milk replacers, human necessities and a whole lot of other stuff.
If you or someone you know needs a bit of practical help or have domestic animals or stock in need of help, please message us and we will make sure you are remembered. RDA is a very focal point for offers of help. We want to share it.
Help us by showing that we appreciate this AMAZING gesture. Rural people wanted the city people to notice. Gayna noticed. Others have noticed. Let's share it 💜

Hi Shiloh Equestrian friends and clients, I am currently unable and unwilling to arrange lessons as I am having issues with Equestrian Australia and my insurance. I hope that this will be resolved soon but, as a responsible and legal instructor, it would be negligent of me to arrange lessons when clients are not fully insured. I sincerely hope to be in touch again soon with good news. In the meantime, you are welcome to visit as friends anytime.

At Shiloh Equestrian, we love time spent starting the big dream journeys. But the time spent helping the small journeys is absolutely precious. An hour spent trying every single brush in the grooming box and mixing 'pony porridge' is a real joy. Thank you to the parents who realise this, too. 😄💖🐴💗

Miss Nell finished off a busy day for me. Sometimes life just makes us a bit tired and we'd love to curl up in a corner and shut everything out. But we keep on and are rewarded for doing so. My students are my reward. When they achieve something HUGE like going off-lead and looking like a true equestrian, just like Nell did today. Will you look at this natural? 😄

After 87 years of riding, I'm not going to lecture Her Majesty on the importance of wearing a helmet ;) but how wonderful, at 91 years, to still be able to enjoy riding - an activity that has given her so much pleasure.

She is a supporter of all the native breeds of the British Isles (including the endangered Cleveland Bay, of which I have a part-bred) and Fell ponies have been her choice of mount for many years now. How stunning are these two?

Bravo, your Majesty. I hope you enjoy your horses for many years to come.

Her Majesty the Queen headed out on her beloved black Fell pony on Monday for her first ride since her 91st birthday on April 21.
