We would like to thank Tammy Beattie (VIC) for agreeing to share her knowledge and experience so Ulverstone Kennel Club Inc can host a day of workshops in Agility!
ABOUT THE SESSIONS:
SESSION 1 – FOUNDATIONS
This session will focus on building and growing the foundational skills of agility!
Suitable for: The absolute new team through to teams that have some basic foundations in place.
Start time: 8.30am [2hrs].
Multiple dogs will be on the ground, working, at one time. Teams will work through various stations with coaching. Learn how to build foundations for your superstar with skills you can take away and practice!
Working spots: $40. Spaces in this session are limited to 6 working teams.
Non-working spot: $15 [unlimited].
SESSION 2 – CONTACTS + WEAVES
This session will focus on the aspects of agility that you might want to improve or are otherwise having an issue with in respect of contacts and weaves.
Suitable for:
• Teams who have GOOD foundations in place;
• Teams who are training OR competing anywhere between pre-trial level through to Masters level.
• Working spots in this session are not suitable for teams who are absolute beginners - however you are welcome to attend in a non-working spot and still learn!
Start time: 10.45am [3hrs*]. *The duration of this session is dependent upon final enrolments in Session 2 & 3.
Each team will predominantly receive individual coaching, appropriate to their level and/or focused on a particular problem that team may be experiencing. There may be an occasion where multiple dogs are working on the ground at once.
Working spots: $40. Spaces in this session are limited to 6 working teams.
Non-working spot: $15 [unlimited].
SESSION 3 – THREADLES, BACKSIDES + COURSE ANALYSIS
This session will focus on the aspects of jumping that you might want to improve or are otherwise having an issue with.
Suitable for: Teams who are competing or comfortably training at competition level [Novice through to Masters]!
Start time: approx. 2.00pm* [3hrs*]. *Start time and duration are dependent upon final enrolments in Session 2 + 3.
Each team will receive individual coaching, appropriate to their level or focused on a particular problem that team may be experiencing. There may be an occasion where multiple dogs are working on the ground at once.
Working spot: $40. Spaces in this session are limited to 6 working teams.
Non-working spot: $15 [unlimited].
Working spots are limited to just 6 teams per session, and payment is required to secure your place.
‼️IMPORTANT:
• To give as many people (and their dogs!) as possible the opportunity to participate, please book one working spot per dog only. Bookings for multiple auditing spots are encouraged!
• Dogs booked into a working spot must be 12 months or older, fully vaccinated, have basic obedience skills, and be comfortable working around other dogs and people.
