Let’s get into the science behind it ↓

Strength training increases your muscles’ demand for oxygen.

As you train, your body starts to oxidise carbohydrates + fats to produce energy.

More carbs + fats oxidised = more calories burned 🔥

The afterburn effect is your body’s excess post-exercise oxygen consumption (EPOC)

So the harder you train during your session, the more calories your body will burn once you’re finished! 🎉

For all the mums and soon-to-be mums, our Mums&Bubs class starts next week!

We know how difficult it can be prioritising your fitness during this stage of life, so we’ve made some changes for our new class: 

⏱ 45 minute classes specifically tailored for all stages of pregnancy and post-partum

🫱🏽‍🫲🏼 Small groups guided by our trainer so you can have more one-on-one support and connect with likeminded mums

🍼 Safe, visible and enclosed area for bubs so you can still be with them during your class

🚼 Soft lighting and low music to create a calming environment for bub to socialise with others

When we eat mindlessly, we skip the first phase: our brain signalling to our body + gut to prep for food.

By incorporating more mindful eating habits such as:

→ Eating slowly
→ Chewing thoroughly
→ Taking small bites
→ Being present whilst you eat

Your body will benefit through ↓

→ stopping when you’re full so you don’t over eat
→ making better decisions around your food choices
→ better digestion by eating slowly to reduce bloating
