Round 12 of the 2026 AFL Masters SA Season.
Finally! A home game, Bright skies after an overcast and dreary start of the day with players rolling into the facilities and brining their entourage of partners to enjoy the atmosphere of while to lads hooked in and got ready for the perfect day of Masters Footy
With the age demographic lowered due to one of the most youthful crews on the park this season, the Phantoms Over 35's Football Club had their work cut out for them and played very well for the first half of the game due to some wonderful scoring of points after taking lessons from Browny over the previous games struggling to slot a major in the first quarter including an absolute clanger by Jay Racoon from 3m out from the goal line.
Other highlights were the newest recruit to the Brumbys Stables Jason Fletcher who had a magificent first game in 25 years with a few touches and even got one through the big sticks although misaligned the ball with fingers and found they can stick in a different direction having to slip down to have some attention sought but returned after presentations to show he's enthusiasm for Masters footy swearing allegiance to season 2027!.. Great job Jason on your way to being a legend already!.. See you at the next couple of functions
Seaton Hotel award winners for the day were Jay Racoon, Dean Dinga Cullinan, Derek Morrison and Pete Spencer putting on a display and extreme effort to contend with the opposition.
Palais Hotel awards went to the relentless attack of Wil Lee and Matt Saunders who seemed to have a radar for delivering into the forward line again causing the oppositions backline to work double time.
Our defence gun Gav O'Reilly took pleasure in acquiring a bottle of Kilikanoon Wines and Lucas Brown from the defensive 50 accumluated a bottle of Rusden Wines tearing up through the midfield and banging a few goals including one that was shepherded through only to be cut off by his own team mate Dinga! who turned on the goal line and banged one through for himself!!.. Congratulations on the hat fitting Dinga a burn like that might provide some more duties in the defence part of the ground from Brownys perspective!!
The oppositions award a bottle from Kilikanoon Wines which was unamiously provided to Joel 'Chooky' Fowler from the Phantoms Over 35's Football Club who did a great job on the day, giving the Brumbys a workout trying to keep up with him all day which again was noted by the West Officials.
The opposition saw a lot of value in the efforts of Matt Saunders awarded him another bottle from their sponsor to round off the presentations.
