🏆Congratulations to our U12 Silver team, finishing the season as Runners Up in the Girls U12C West League.

🏆 Cheering and supporting each other throughout the season, these girls proved that friendship, fun and showing up are the key ingredients for a winning football season. So proud of this team!

🏆 Well done to all the players, coaches, volunteers and families!

What a season. What a club.
Tonight we held our Annual General Meeting and took the opportunity to reflect on another incredible year for the Maribyrnong Swifts community.
To every player, coach, team manager, volunteer, committee member, sponsor, supporter and family member, thank you. Our club exists because of the passion, care and commitment of so many people who give their time to create a safe, inclusive and welcoming place for women, girls and gender-diverse people to play football.
Congratulations to our newly elected committee and thank you to those who have served over the past 12 months and beyond. Your efforts behind the scenes make an enormous difference.
As we celebrate another successful season and look ahead to 2027, we’re incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved together. The growth of our club, the friendships formed, the football played, and the community we’ve built are something truly special.
Here’s to another year of football, connection and empowering everyone to belong in the game. 💜

15 years ago, Maribyrnong Swifts FC began with a simple but powerful idea: create a place where girls and women could play football, feel welcome, build confidence and belong.

From those early days to the thriving club we are today, so much has changed — but what matters most hasn’t.

💜 The girls who found their love of football here.
🖤 The women who kept playing when opportunities weren’t always there.
💜 The coaches, volunteers, committee members and families who have given their time and energy.
🖤 The friendships, memories, goals, celebrations and challenges shared along the way.

Today, the Swifts community is bigger, stronger and more diverse than ever — welcoming women, girls and gender-diverse players of all ages and abilities.

And our vision remains the same: to create a safe, inclusive and supportive environment where everyone can enjoy football and feel empowered through the game.

We’re looking forward to welcoming all members to the MSFC Annual General Meeting next Tuesday 3 September, starting from 6:30pm in the clubrooms.

All positions are open for nomination, and we encourage anyone interested in contributing to the club’s future to get involved.

With a few committee members stepping down, we’re actively seeking volunteers for key positions:

- Secretary
- Equipment Manager
- Canteen Manager
- Sponsorship Manager
- Technical Director (higher volume of duties and qualifications required)

If you’re thinking about volunteering or would like to learn more, feel free to reach out to any current committee member—we’re here to help.

The AGM is a great chance to hear updates from the President and Treasurer, reflect on the year’s achievements, and connect with fellow members.

We’d love to see as many of you there as possible!

Our U8 MiniRoos teams played off against each other today. It was a glorious display of club and team support and incredible to see such great skills from our young players!
