Congratulations to our Gold Coast United Coaches and players on being nominated for Football Queensland Academy of the Year.
Gold Coast United have been a Gold Rated Academy since the inception of the Football Queensland audit and rating system in 2019. This recognition further demonstrates our commitment to player development.
Our most recent successes have been at the National State titles in Coffs Harbour, where 9 GCU players represented QLD across the Boys U14 and U15 age groups. This exposure will create further opportunities for those players at higher levels. We have provided the most number of players into the Brisbane Roar Academy system since we started 5 years ago.
There is an opportunity for all players in our region to join our expanding academy, where in 2023, we will enter teams into the local competition, thus strengthening our ties to community football and providing more players exposure to our coaching methodology and practices.
