This week was a reminder of what makes lacrosse in South Australia so special 💚💛💙🩵

Two clubs came together to create the best possible experience for our players, families, volunteers, officials and supporters from all over Australia.

What has unfolded this week and the decision made by we know have not been taken lightly! Safety will also be at the forefront of everyone’s mind however that does not take away the effort of clubs and committees!

At the heart of this were two Chairmen, Cam (Sturt) and Shane (Woodville) who have likely not slept in the last 24 hours!

has been huge in bringing the 2026 Senior Lacrosse Nationals to SA and with a venue change have still put on an incredible show today while took over the fields to ensure games had minimal disruptions and players could still have that championship game as their end goal!

We can only imagine the work behind the scenes for the volunteers from Sturt to trek everything from Sturt to Woodville! To everyone who played a part from both Sturt and Woodville, thank you. You have shown that lacrosse is more than just a sport. It is a community, a family, and something truly unique here in South Australia.

Weeks like this don’t happen by accident. They happen because of great people and great clubs! The last 24 hours has shown exactly that but there is still one day to go!

Get down to the Woodville Lacrosse Club tomorrow, Support the Sturt Lacrosse Club working in the bar, canteen, gate and continuing to bring the good vibes while Woodville keep the games running!

The future of Lacrosse in South Australia 🙌

On Sunday our Senior Men’s and Women’s State Teams ran a clinic which saw over 60 kids come out and brave the weather!

From under 8s through to under 15s, the groups spent the day learning all things Lacrosse and finished the day off with a game!

We are excited for these kids to represent Lacrosse in SA in years to come!

We’re excited to invite you to a Skills & Development Camp designed to give back to the community and support our South Australia Senior Men’s and Women’s State Teams as they prepare to represent our state with pride—both on and off the field.

This camp is all about giving back, developing the next generation, and rallying behind our state athletes. Every registration helps support training and performance as our teams continue to strive for excellence.

• Hands-on coaching from our Senior State Team athletes
• Skill development for all ages and abilities
• Groups divided by size, age, and skill level to maximise participation
• A great community atmosphere and plenty of lacrosse action

The SACPSSA Lacrosse Carnival is coming up, and we’re seeking volunteer umpires of all skill levels to help deliver a great school sport experience.

Glenelg Lacrosse Club (Monday & Tuesday)
📅 18 & 19 May
Woodville Lacrosse Club (Wednesday-Friday)
📅 20, 21 & 22 May

Whether you’re an experienced umpire or someone with only a bit of lacrosse knowledge who’s keen to support school sport, we’d love to hear from you. Your involvement will help create a positive and well-run carnival for all students across the state!
