Kidman Archers Inc Kidman Archers is located in Adelaide's western suburb of West Beach. The club's name came from its original location at Kidman Park High School.

We have a relaxed, accessible environment and would welcome all ages to come along and try their hand at archery. Kidman Archers were established in 1973 and are located in Adelaide's western suburb of West Beach. We are located at West Beach Primary School and have lush green grounds all year round. Located away from any main roads and hidden in a suburb amongst trees, it feels like you are in a

remote location. Beginners Coaching Courses are held 4 times throughout the year and are run by our qualified coaches. Each course is held over 4 consecutive Saturdays. Week 1: 10am to 12pm - Classroom training - Safety, understanding archery, technique, begin shooting. Week 2: 10am to 12pm - Shooting and scoring & target types
Week 3: 10am to 12pm - Shooting
Week 4: 1pm to 3pm - Joining the Kidman members on the line for the weekly club shoot. Please arrive early to help set up the field and your equipment. Club Saturday schedule:
Arrival from Noon onwards to help set up the field for the days allocated shoot. All members/parents encouraged to help.
12:30pm - Nominated round to be on the board or entered into Archers Diary.
1:00pm (sharp) Shooting commences on the line.
2:30pm (approx) have a short break and any news or awards presented.
3:30pm (approx) finished shooting and pack up field before packing away your own equipment. We have a club BBQ and Handicap round on the 2nd Saturday of each month. BBQ at 12pm with the usual 1pm start.

Rhys Brown, Joel Jeffree and Brett Jeffree went to Mid North Archers Christine Player Memorial 2026 shoot in Port Pirie over the weekend.
It was a sunning day on the Saturday for shooting a Target QRE and then a slightly cold night shooting a Indoor QRE Saturday night.

On the Sunday we had another sunny day for the Christine Player Memorial, their was 29 shooters on the line.
Rhys Brown placed 3rd in the open recurve category with Joel following up with a 4h place. Brett Jeffree placed 1st in the 50+ barebow recurve category also.

We would like to thank the Mid North Archers for a well organised shoot, their warm hospitality and a fun weekend of shooting.

Was a wild and rainy day for the Kidman Archers Target Championship. Not a big turn out and those that did had to brave the rain to shoot.
Everyone seem to enjoy the shoot although it was a little cold and wet.
Brett Jeffree managed to finally get his 30m all gold, this has eluded him for some time.

Eden Field Archers held there Club Target championship on Saturday morning at the Kidman Archers Club.
The weather was overcast with little wind. They finished shooting just in time as the heavens opened up with a down poor that lasted most of the arfternoon.
Everyone looked to be having a fun shoot and they also enjoyed a BBQ and soft under the shelter.
Sorry to say I do not have many photos.

The course includes:
• 4 weeks of small group qualified coaching
• 8 extra weeks of temporary membership at Kidman Archers
• A Certificate of Completion – allowing you to apply for membership with Kidman Archers or any Archery Australia affiliated club.
• Courses are currently a maximum of 8 and fill up fast.

Thank you to all the participants in the 5th Annual John Burton Memorial shoot 2026.
The weather turned it on for us with the sun out and only a slight wind.
Was an excellent day for all and especially for the 3 visiting winners.

Busy weekend for those that attended the working Bee then followed this up the next day competing in the
ARCHERY South Australia's (Archery SA) State Field Archery Championship.

This was held at Eden Field Archers and the weather turned on at treat for us. There was 71 entrants and to my joy as a recurve barebow shooter 9 entrants shooting barebow.
We had 4 representative from Kidman Archers shooting on the day Rhys Brown, Alfredo Tobon, Joel Jeffree and Brett Jeffree.
I left my phone at home so could not get any pictures but thanks to Rhys and Joel I have a few to add.

Well done to those that participated and for a great day and great competition.

Thanks too all that came out for the working Bee. The shed is the best I have ever seen it and target butts are all sorted out.
