A true superstar ⭐️
Thank you for all the hard work and hours you put into our sport and the community ❤️

Congratulations to Kevin “KT” Tannebring on being recognised in the 2026 King’s Birthday Honours 👏🇦🇺

For decades, KT has been a constant presence in Australian softball, not only as a highly respected national umpire, but as someone who has always gone above and beyond for the people around him. From officiating more than 350 national games to mentoring umpires, supporting clubs and quietly helping wherever needed, his contribution to the sport has been immeasurable.

A recipient of multiple major softball honours, including the Lyle Tyler Award, Vivienne Triplett Award, Umpire of the Year and Volunteer of the Year, Kevin is admired across the country for his dedication, generosity and genuine care for the softball community 💚💛

His impact has also stretched far beyond the diamond through years of volunteer work in the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (APY) Lands, helping communities build and grow the game from the ground up.

⏰ Last chance to have your say and help shape the future of Adelaide Softball!

Our End of Season Member Feedback Survey closes tomorrow, and nominations to join the Adelaide Softball Association
Committee also close tomorrow at 5:00pm.

Your feedback helps us improve and plan for next season, and joining the committee is an opportunity to contribute to the future direction of our competition.
After a strong start, we are currently sitting at 4.98% member participation in the survey. The survey can be completed anonymously and only takes a few minutes, so we encourage all members to take the opportunity to contribute.

The ASAC is now calling for expressions of interest from individuals who would like to join the Adelaide Softball Association Executive Committee for the 2026–27 season.

All positions are appointed for one season, commencing June 1st. This is your opportunity to play a key role in helping run, plan, and build the future of softball in Adelaide.

We are ideally looking for people who can dedicate their focus to the Association. While those already involved in softball are absolutely encouraged to apply, in a perfect scenario we are seeking individuals who are not over-committed across multiple roles and can bring fresh energy and perspective.

Survey Update
We’ve already received over 30 responses to the ASA Member Survey — a great start. One week to go!

The more feedback we receive, the better we can shape the competition moving forward. If you haven’t already, please take a few minutes to have your say.

We’re already seeing a range of valuable feedback — from innovative ideas and practical solutions to honest reflections — all shared with a common goal of making the Adelaide Softball Association the best it can be.

This is your opportunity to have your say. Responses can be submitted anonymously if preferred, and the more feedback we receive, the better informed we will be in shaping the future of the ASA — together.

The survey will close on May 1, 2026.

Following the first season under the new ASA Executive Governance Model, we are seeking feedback from clubs, players, and officials to improve communication, decision-making, competition delivery, and overall direction as we progress toward an independent ASA. What a season!

Congratulations to all our premiership winners, and to every team and club that took part in the ASA this year. Congratulation's to all our ASA award winners. It’s been a fantastic competition from start to finish. All results and highlights from Grand Final Day and Presentation Night are now available on the ASA website.

Today, all members and clubs were sent a feedback survey—this is your opportunity to have your say. We want to hear what’s working, what’s not, and how we can continue to build the ASA into the best competition it can be.

Looking ahead to the 2026/27 season, we’re excited to confirm the return of Celebrity Game 2 on October 9 to launch the season. We also have several new initiatives in development, which we look forward to announcing in late May 2026. With the Softball World Cup 2027 coming to Australia, there is a major opportunity ahead to elevate the profile of our sport and drive growth, engagement, and participation at every level.

Now operating outside the limitations of the ‘One Softball’ program, the ASA is in a strong position to actively pursue sponsorship opportunities. This will support the continued evolution of the competition, including enhancements to our live streaming program and ongoing facility upgrades.

Season 2 under the ASAC Executive and Committee structure will also open opportunities for members to get involved. We encourage anyone interested in contributing to the future direction of the ASA to put their hand up and be part of the journey.

Enjoy the well-earned break—and remember, ASA returns in just 173 days.
