What a great day at the Walcha Ladies Open Day today for Werris Creek! 6 ladies represented our club.

Zara Saunders (Qdi) & Meg Wipple (WC) teamed up & won the Net.

Jenny Fisher & Kate Rutter were winners of the scratch.

Jenny also won the long drive.

We also found the Walcha course record board & guess who was on it!

The course was outstanding, so green & had fantastic grass cover. Great company, food & golf….such a good way to spend some time on a Saturday (better than housework!). 🏌️‍♀️

Yesterday was the Werris Creek Lady Golfers Open Day.

The winners of the 18 hole Nett was Jann Moore & Kate Rutter with 39 points.

The winners of the 18 hole Gross was Jane McWhirter & Michelle Johnston with 23 scratch.

Werris Creek also won the Country Cup with their team comprising of Jann Moore, Jill Fuller, Meg Whipple & Kate Rutter.

A great day was had by all with a yummy salad lunch & dessert waiting for golfers on competion of their round 🥗🍰🏌️‍♀️.

A big thank you to all who made this day possible mowing the course, adding sand to the greens, cooking, organising & card duty, much appreciated.

Also thank you to all that supported us & came to our club for a friendly game & catchup.

This was our 3rd attempt at holding this day due to flooding so 3rd time lucky!

8 ladies from Werris Creek travelled to Nyngan this weekend for the Vendi Golf Woman’s Sand Green Championships. Our very own Jenny Fisher managed to shoot a 79 & a 77 to come equal second! Much fun was had by all, the country hospitality & entertainment was A1!

Today was our annual wind up day in conjunction with our a pink cancer fundraiser 🩷 & the AGM.

A catchup & cuppa was first thing before the AGM then we headed into the Chemist for lunch.

$288.00 was raised from our raffle & it was won by Robyn Southam. Picture of raffle attached.

There is a round of 9 holes scheduled for tomorrows ladies golf but we’re in a mess again with our crossings. This concrete crossing on the second is one of 3 that have been wiped out with recent rain.
