VicSoccer is now accepting applications for clubs to join or rejoin the league for season 2022. All existing clubs have had emails sent to them for their renewal. If your club is interested in Joining VicSoccer, you can call Keith on 0432 996 216, to start the entry process. The league season starts on the first Sunday in April 2022. We will have our Summer competition starting in February, subject to ground allocation.

The State Government has announced an extension to the current lockdown for Metropolitan Melbourne.
What does this mean for VicSoccer ?
It means that all scheduled and practice games, as well as training, is now suspended until, until at least 11:59pm, Thursday
19 August, 2021.
VicSoccer has been encouraged by the number of clubs willing to play mid-week games to ensure the season will be
completed. VicSoccer has been discussing with local councils the possibility of season extension to allow our catch up
games to be completed. We will contact clubs once we have further details.

THE STATE GOVERNMENT HAS JUST ANNOUNCED A SEVEN-DAY LOCKDOWN STARTING AT 8:00 P.M. TONIGHT, THURSDAY 5 AUGUST 2021.

THE CATCH-UP GAMES REARRANGED FOR THIS EVENING WILL NOW HAVE TO BE PLAYED AT A LATER DATE.

NO FOOTBALL SUNDAY 25 JULY 2021 - DUE TO LOCKDOWN 5.0

The State government has now extended the current Lockdown 5.0 until 11:59, Tuesday, July 27. Therefore, all VicSoccer games will remain under suspension until that time. Training and practice games are also suspended. Currently, we are working with councils with a view to find a solution to probable fixture congestion because of the lockdowns we are experiencing. We will keep all clubs informed of any developments.

The State Government has just announced that Victoria will enter a seven-day lockdown.

What does this mean for VicSoccer?

VicSoccer has now taken the decision to postpone all scheduled Football games and associated activities from tonight Thursday 27 May 11.59pm until 11.59pm Thursday, June 03.

This includes all scheduled games, practice matches & training sessions.
This weekend’s fixtures, Round 7, May 30 2021, is likely to be played on Sunday 18 July 2021, which is a designated Catch Up Round. This will be subject to Board of Management confirmation.
VicSoccer will appoint match officials for games to be played on Sunday 06 June 2021, in anticipation that games will go ahead.

SEASON 2021.

We have had many inquiries about the football season for season 2021.

VicSoccer is getting prepared to run football in 2021.

If your club is interested in joining VicSoccer for season
2021 please understand the following direction -

if you are a new club or an older club with VicSoccer please send an email stating your intentions to play, the name of their ground, and the number of teams the club intends to enter the competition.

For those clubs wishing to apply to the council for a ground and require a Certificate Of Currency, you can place a $500.00 deposit towards your insurance. THIS IS NON REFUNDABLE. This fee will be adjusted according to the full price of the cost of the insurance, which is dependant upon the number of teams entering the competition.

Competitions can only start if it is legal and safe to do so.

CANCELLATION OF SEASON 2020

This Email is directed at everyone involved with VicSoccer.

That is all players, supporters, Board Members of our clubs, back room staff such as coaches,
physiotherapist etc, match officials, volunteers, and sponsors.

A couple of weeks ago we sent to our clubs a direction containing a four-point return to football plan.

Since sending the email, the spread of the pandemic appears to be out of control, with the State Government placing many suburbs into lockdown, making it impossible for games to be played, in a safe manner.

It is important to focus in on the point of being able to play games in a safe manner.
We all love this game, we are all fanatical about this game, but we all have a responsibility to stop the spread of COVID – 19.

By playing games, we run the risk of spreading the virus and placing everyone in the community
at risk, not just the football community, but people outside our football community, people like your
parents, brothers, sisters, grandparents, wife, partner in fact, anyone.

We are prepared to lose the season, but we are not prepared to lose a person’s health and wellbeing or even worse, their life.

Everyday, the number of people getting the virus is greater than the previous day.
Therefore, after a great deal of soul searching and many many meetings the Board of Management has made the decision to cancel all League and Cup games for season 2020.

This decision is based purely and simply on the health and safety of all people connected to VicSoccer and everyone in the community.

At this stage there will be no football until season 2021.

In the unlikely situation that there is an improvement to the point that the safety of all is not placed in danger, then we will consider a round robin style tournament, if time, access to pitches and a
desire to compete exists.

To those clubs that have deposited funds into the VicSoccer account, they will be reimbursed in full, immediately.

COVID19 - CORONA VIRUS

THERE WILL BE NO GAMES PLAYED IN VICSOCCER UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

The Board of Management Of VicSoccer , recently took the step of postponing the start of the 2020 season from April 05 until April 26 2020.

So where round two in the football calendar is, that now becomes round one. This also allows the two Easters to be observed on 12 and 19 of April.

In football developments, which seems to change in a matter of hours, not days, Football Federation of Australia announced yesterday that ALL Games from midday today Wednesday 18 Aril 2020 is now Postponed until April 14 2020, this measure also includes training.

We are following the lead of FFA to ensure that the safety of all members of clubs is our number one priority.

Our Summer cup competition is almost at a conclusion, with only a couple of games to be played that may affect the outcome the respective divisions.

Games that are required to be played, will be played at a date and time in the future, when it is safe to do so.

The Board Of Management of VicSoccer, would like to take this opportunity to to wish all connected with VIcSoccer a very happy and prosperous New Year.

It is the time of the year when clubs are starting their pre season training to get fit for the upcoming season. Part of getting the club fit for the season is not restricted to the getting the players fit, it also includes getting your club into condition for this season. That means ensuring your club has submitted the appropriate Application Form, which can be found on our website. Full payment for club entry into the league must be submitted by March 1 2020.

VicSoccer will give details of the Summer Competition, once we have finalised details, this will be as soon as we have them.

Acquiring grounds for the competition to be held is becoming more and more difficult. Councils are becoming more and more reluctant to release them in order to keep their grounds in as good as condition for as long as they possibly can.

To all the clubs that have not returned their club I.D. Cards, please do so immediately, keeping them only means delay for everyone.

Keep training hard as the new season will be upon us before we know it.
