What a great weekend of WRTA summer 2025/26 season tennis semi finals for Werribee Central senior and Junior Teams.
The club had 11 junior teams that started the summer season in October 2025, and finished the home and away games with 9 of the 11 teams in semi finals across Saturday and Sunday morning. The weekend was perfect for tennis, beautiful sun shine and no wind. Five Werribee Central teams will now play off in the Grand Final matches next weekend. WRTA Junior matches will be played across the Western Region on neutral courts. We wish all the teams good luck.
We are very proud of all our junior players, and thank all the parents for their support during the season.
Our senior pennant team, unfortunately found the Liston team too strong in the semi finals. Well done to the team making the finals three seasons in a row, and adding a Pennant to the clubs trophy cabinet in Winter 2025. Go teams.

The Grand Final draw is not yet, watch this space for where you will be able to watch and support our teams next weekend. 👏🎾

Werribee Central tennis club, all 8 courts will be closed tomorrow Friday the 16 January for maintenance. This will be in place for 24 hours, if this they can be opened earlier we will notify everyone through this page. Thank you for your understanding.

Christmas and schooldays bring Werribee Central tennis club's busy 2025 year to their annual break.
2025 has been a very busy year. A huge thank you to Wyndham City Council for the much needed redevelopment of the 8 courts.
After being temporarily based at an alter venue the cub returned to the upgraded courts at Galvin Park in May 2025.

Book a Court became operational on the back four courts. This has allowed the members and community to book courts a time that suits them to play. Very reasonable booking rates apply when lights are needed.

WRTA Winter 2025 senior and junior competition 2025 was very successful for the club. Our senior team took our the Premiership and the junior teams added two new Premiership flags.

Congratulations to our senior competition players who finished with teams playing off in their Grand Finals.

Werribee Centrals ladies mid week section 2 team played off in the Grand Final of the Western Suburbs Midweek Ladies competition.
On a perfect day for tennis, the ladies started confidently with both teams matching point for point. Unfortunately Kingsville started to draw ahead and came away with the Premiership for the Winter season for 2025.

Werribee Central Men's Night team on the same night took out the Western Suburbs Night Tennis Groups section 4 Premiership. The team started quickly with strong competitive tennis that Liston tennis club with Liston tennis club teams slowly being left behind. Werribee Centra team put their strong performance down to the support from their hitting partners.

Werribee Central tennis club have closed courts 5,6,7 &8 due to a technical issue that is not allowing the book a court gates to open using the supplied pin codes.
We have requested support from Tennis Victoria and hope they will be operational shortly.

Grand Final Tuesday is coming to Werribee Centrals on 9 December 2025.

Congratulations to;
Werribee Central Midweek Ladies section 2 team 2025 Winter season and
Werribee Central Tuesday night men's section 4 team 2025 Spring season for making it through to the Grand Finals in their sections.

The ladies will be on courts 10.00am Tuesday morning and the men 7.00pm Tuesday night.

We wish both teams good luck. Come on down and support our teams.

Come on down to Werribee Central Tennis Club to watch WRTA Junior Winter 2025 Grand Finals being played Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 August all with an 8.30am start.
There are 54 tennis courts in action across the Western Region this weekend.
The majority of tennis clubs across Wyndham are hosting teams from other clubs as the junior Grand finals are played at a neutral venues.
Werribee Central tennis club are hosting;
Section 1 St. Andrews vs Yarraville,
Section 2 Hoppers Crossing vs St. Andrews
Section 4 Aintree vs Hoppers Crossing.

Other Wyndham tennis clubs hosting are Truganina, Saltwater, Hoppers Crossing, Pt Cook, and Williams Landing.

The remaining 12 Grand Finals can be seen across tennis clubs in the Western areas of Williamstown, Yarraville etc.

Book a court is now active on courts 5,6,7&8. Please visit play.tennis.com.au and select Werribee Central Tennis club to book your court.
Courts 7&8 will remain free to the community for daylight hitting, and can now be booked for night time hitting for a fee which is paid when making your bookings.

Please remember, no glass on the courts, remove any rubbish and close the gates when you have finished your hit.

Monday night adult social hitting is still available, courts 3&4, no bookings just show up when you want to play. Enter the gate at the clubrooms for a 6pm start till 8pm. approximately, $10 for non-members when lights are used.

Wednesday night ladies social hitting 7.30pm, no bookings just show up, courts 3&4. $10 for non- members. All welcome, from new to tennis to the experienced player.

Ladies are you looking for another exercise option?
Werribee Central tennis club, will be starting a night time hitting group for ladies.

This will commence on Wednesday nights, from 7pm to 9pm. on Wednesday 11 June.

The cost is $10 for non members and $5 dollars for members.

All welcome, variety of standards, grab your friends and just show up on the night.

Werribee Central tennis club are looking for ladies interested in playing in their ladies mid- week competition teams.
There are two options available or if you are extra keen on your tennis you may even play both days.

1. Tuesday mid week ladies are a team of five ladies that play on Tuesdays from Werribee Central's newly developed courts. This competition does require travel across the Western Suburbs, start time is 10am till 2.30pm approximately. We presently have two team playing, drop by and check us out.

2. Thursday ladies, is teams of four ladies that play a full season competition from our courts with no travel. Start time is 9.30am till 12.30pm approximately.
First Thursday of each month there is a morning tea and a cuppa to share before you head off to the rest of your day.

Both competitions are doubles only, you will need to become a member of the club to play competition.
They do not play during school holidays.

We are also having some ladies come along on a Thursday who just would like a hit, maybe recovering from an injury and not ready for competition yet, others coming back from a long break.

Again call past you will be made welcome, and we are happy to answer any questions you may have.

HI Everyone,
A very big thank you to Wyndham City Council, the Projects team and Recreation Department, the court Redevelopment at Werribee Central tennis club, Galvin Park Reserve, 95 Shaws Road, Werribee is now completed.

Monday night social hitting group is back, 6pm tonight to 8pm approximately. No weekly commitments, show up join in. Mainly doubles adult social hitting. Members $5 and non-members $10, with lights and tennis balls supplied.

We are currently looking for any ladies that are interested in playing in our Tuesday ladies' teams. This group travel within the Western Suburbs. Or our Thursday ladies' teams, which always play from our Werribee Central courts. No play during school holidays or long weekends.

Hi Everyone,
Werribee Central Ladies tennis will return for 2025 on Thursday 6 February 2025 with an invitation to all ladies to join in a morning of Round Robin tennis.
Start time is 9.15am finishing approximately 12pm with a morning tea supplied.
The cost is $5 per player with all money going towards the 2025 Werribee Central Ladies Annual Biggest Morning Tea for Cancer fundraiser.
