We’re getting ready for Red & Yellow Day! On March 4, we’ll join the nation in celebrating the incredible Surf Life Saving volunteers who work tirelessly to keep our beaches safe. These heroes wear red and yellow, so we can enjoy the water with confidence.

Parents: Active Supervision Matters.

Clear visibility is essential - but so is your full attention.

Quick tips:

✅ Stay where you can clearly see the water surface and below.
✅ Minimise distractions like phones or chatting.
✅ Never leave your child alone or assume lifeguards replace your responsibility.

Your eyes and focus keep kids safe.

Accidents around water can happen quickly and often without warning.

To help everyone stay safe at the pool, here are a few simple tips to keep in mind:

✔️ Read and follow all pool rules and lifeguard instructions
✔️ Walk carefully - wet surfaces can be slippery
✔️ Enter and exit the pool slowly and safely
✔️ Raise your hand and call for help if you’re struggling in the water

Adults supervise, lifeguards save lives.

At our centre, lifeguards are trained to respond in emergencies - but active adult supervision is the first and most important layer of protection.

Children and those who are newer to swimming should always be closely supervised by a parent or carer when in or around the water.

At our centre, we’re passionate about helping our community stay safe in all aquatic environments - from swimming pools to beaches, rivers, and lakes.

Crashing waves, strong currents, changing tides, and unpredictable weather can turn a beautiful day into a dangerous one. If you're heading outdoors, keep these safety tips in mind:

🚩 Swim between the flags at patrolled beaches
👫🏽 Never swim alone - always go with a buddy
👀 Actively supervise children and those who are newer to swimming
🛇 Obey safety signs and lifeguard instructions
🙅🏽 If in doubt, don’t go out
