Weekend Golf Results

Friday's Chicken Run we had 10 players compete with Brett taking home the chook with 16 points, BDL went to Pappy on 15 points and Dan got an NTP on 17

Saturday in only what can be described as gale force conditions 6 brave golfers ventured out with Brett winning on a countback from B Mac on 32 points. B Mac also got an NTP on 15

Sunday we had 2 teams compete in the Yarram Plate Day and although we did not win it this year like last year we put up a great performance and thanks for Yarram Golf Club for a great day once again

Weekend Golf Results

Friday's Chicken run seen B Mac winning on a countback from Pappy on 16 points with Billy getting an NTP on the 6th hole.

Saturday was an 18 Hole Stableford event 10 players competing and it was the Nino show who had 37 points, NTP's on 6 and 17 and also won the Captains ball. Gary Brown got a BDL with 35 points

Sunday was an 18 Hole Stableford event 13 players competing on a great day for golf with Brett winning the Foster Seafood Voucher with 35 points, Pappy got a BDL with 34 as did Ricky Platt with 32 points. NTP's went to Lochie on 6, Ricky on 8 and Brett on 17.

There were also a number of match plays over the weekend with B Mac beating Harry, Lochie beating Stevo, Nino got over Russ and Brett over Billy.

The AGM (to be confirmed) is likely to be Sunday the 23rd of November at 2 p.m. for those interested in having an input into the future management and direction of the club.

Upcoming Events:

- Friday we have the chicken run, hit off at 10:00 a.m.

- Saturday is a Stableford Event and Footy Colours Day hit off at 09:00 a.m. I doubt Pappy will be in his Essendon colours?

- Sunday is an 18 hole Stableford Event hit off at 10:00 a.m.

We also have a Committee meeting at 1:30 this Sunday following golf. If there is anything members would like to raise for committee discussion please place a comment on this post or reach out to Brett Mitchell - President

The Course is looking great and with the weather on the improve more members are starting to play which is fantastic. We are always looking for more members so if your looking for a friendly club at low cost membership please message us via this page.

Weekend Golf Results

Friday seen B Mac winning the chicken run with a handy 20 points, there were no NTP’s.

Saturday was the monthly medal with Brett finally winNing one with 70 Nett, B Mac got a BDL with 73 Nett as did Pappy with 74 Nett. NTP went to Stevo on 17, Captains ball to Brett and Brett also on the bottle of port with 25 putts

Sunday was a great day with an Ambrose draw for partners event with Nino and Ricky Platt getting the job done with 61 Nett As well as an Eagle on 14, great round lads. Joey Platt and Stevo Also had a great round with Joey getting an NTP on 3, Grubby on 8 and Pappy on 17

Weekend Golf Results

Friday's chicken run seen B Mac take home the chook with 20 points with Brett getting a BDL with 18 points and there were no NTP's

Saturday's Monthly Medal seen the birthday boy Gary Brown winning with a handy 68 nett and Billy Van Nes getting a BDL with 71 Nett. Harry won putting and the bottle of port and Nino won the captains ball, there were no NTP's.

Sunday was an 18 hole Ambrose event which was great fun and plenty of banter amongst the groups. Grubby and Stevo won the day with 66 nett, Ricky Platt and Nino getting a BDL with 67 nett and NTP's went to Ricky on the 6th and Boof Nicholls on the 12th.

I don't think we have seen the course looking so good in August and shout out too Captain Russ for all the work he is putting in voluntarily.

Weekend Golf Results

Friday the Chicken Run was won by Grubby with a handy 19 points (I bet your handicap wont move Grubby). There were no NTP's

Saturday was a Flag event with Nino continuing he very good form with a +6, an NTP on 6 and also winning the Captains ball as well. Great round Nino

Sunday was a stableford event sponsored by Welshpool Hotel with the weather holding off and the course in good condition Brett won with 38 points just in front of Ricky Platt with 36 points. Russ got an NTP on 17 and produced the Ducky Waddle after a nice drive. There was some good humoured banter during the round so if you want fun day of competition golf make sure you get down to Welshpool on a Sunday for a 10 a.m. hit off (seems that's a bit early for some on a Sunday hey Pappy).

Also a shout out to Grubby for doing the handicaps each week, its most appreciated mate

Weekends Golf Results

Fridays Chicken Run seen B Mac wining with 18 points and Pappy found his range and had NTP's on 6 and 8.

Saturday

Seen 8 players play a stroke event with Nino winning with 70 Nett and Grubby getting a BDL (. Nino got an NTP on 8, Stevo's good form departed him for the day and apparently needs a box of balls to replace the one's he lost including the one stuck up the tree and Billy didn't have a great start to the round, may not have finished but did contribute significantly to the fines jar before leaving. Pappy also lost the two balls he won Friday for NTP's so the Cows could play with them

Sunday

Seen 8 players play a Stableford event with Nino winning again with a very handy 18 points and Pappy got a BDL. Brett got a NTP on 8 and apparently 6 inches is not close to a hole in one according to Rick.
