Wellington Warriors Round 14 Results

The Wellington Warriors had another big weekend of football in Round 14, with some fantastic results as teams continue their push towards the end of the season.

The Over 30's Women secured a great 2–1 win over Spurs, with Nicole Drew named Players’ Player.

The 1st Grade Women went down to RSL Pink 10–1, with Lilly Sheridan awarded Players’ Player.

The 2nd Grade Men kept their finals hopes alive with a strong 2–0 victory over Westside Panthers. Deep Grewal was named Players’ Player following a great performance.

Well done to all our Warriors who took the field and represented Wellington with pride! With the season coming to an end, we wish all our teams the best of luck for the final round and hope to see plenty of Warriors heading into the finals! 💛⚽

ROUND 13 RESULTS – WARRIORS! ⚽💛

**Over 30s Women**
Went down to Newtown 4–1
⭐ Players’ Player – Sam Whitney

Sam has continued to show plenty of improvement in skills and teamwork showing throughout the season. Her hard work and commitment continues to shine each week!

**Over 35s Men**
🏆 WINNERS!
Finished their season on a high with a 1–0 victory over MUFC Sky!
⭐ Players’ Player – Damo Bell

After coming out of retirement for the season, Damo has been a fantastic asset to the team. He brings years of soccer skills and knowledge, and it shows both on and off the field. A great contribution to the team — congratulations, Damo!

**1st Grade Women**
Went down 3–2 in a very close match against RSL Navy.
⭐ Players’ Player – Georgia Stanley

Georgia put her hand up to take on the role of goalkeeper and did an amazing job! 🧤 With some excellent saves and coming off her line to beat attacking opponents, she showed great courage and commitment. Well done, Georgia!

**2nd Grade Men**
Went down 5–0 to MUFC.
⭐ Players’ Player – Nick Streicher

Nick has continued to be a true team player throughout the season, always putting in the effort and supporting his teammates. His commitment, attitude and willingness to work hard for the team have been fantastic to see. Well deserved, Nick!
