People compare underwater rugby to water polo a lot.

But the games feel very different once you see them side by side.

Underwater rugby is played below the surface, with players constantly diving, rotating, and moving in every direction.

The pace, positioning, and teamwork all work differently underwater.

That’s part of what makes the sport unique.

Still proud of what both teams achieved at UWRA Nationals 2026.

First nationals appearance for Pacific Warriors and already coming home with medals.

Big moment for the club, the players, and everyone who supported the teams along the way.

A lot of hard work went into getting here and it was great seeing it all come together on the national stage.

What a weekend for the team.

Players don’t stay underwater the whole time.

Teams constantly rotate in and out during the game to recover, reset, and keep the pace up.

Good substitutions matter.

The smoother the rotation, the better the team can keep control during play.
