8-8:30am normal half hour session, followed by half hour of wrap up games due to finish up at 9am.
If you are a regular squaddie and want to come but not booked please message me so I know to expect you.
Parents, this is your time to shine and race the kids! Bring your own togs and jump in with us for some relays against us.

Today was my last day of Learn to Swim teaching, with only one more hour of coaching left before I pack up Swim for All ahead of leaving Weipa.

I want to thank every parent who booked in for lessons, brought their kids down sideways rain or sunshine, and just overall took a chance on me.
I’ll be forever grateful for how fast my little swim school took off.

For all my littlest swimmers, just keep swimming! You’ve all got it in you to become great swimmers, from my 4 month olds to 8/9/10 year olds. So much dedication and love for water in each of you.

As for my pre squads, I’m sorry we had such a short time together. Today’s time trials were nothing short of amazing. Whether it was 1 second or 12 seconds off your times from four weeks ago, you all blew me away. Incredible swims!
We have one more sessions together so make sure you come down on Thursday for a swim set and some games to finish strong.

I lost count of the number of times I got goosebumps from watching these kids swim this evening.
Regardless of the results (which were all unreal) I saw each and every kid swim as hard as they could with no quit right to the end.
My first carnival as a coach and I couldn’t be happier or more proud.

The time has come where I’ve got to share some news with everyone.
I am leaving Weipa, to join my partner in driving around Aus for close to 12 months.
My last day of learn to swim and pre squad will be April 6th, next Thursday.

When I moved to Weipa on Oct ‘21 I never thought I’d find myself starting my own business from scratch and have it be welcomed with open arms by the community and flourish into the wonderful swim school that it’s become.
(Photo is a throw back to when I’d just found out I got a lifeguarding job here).

I will have more to say next week but for now, if I don’t see some of my students and families again, thank you.
Thank you for taking a chance with me and continually booking lessons. I have thoroughly enjoyed all my time teaching here and meeting the kids, seeing their personalities come out, and the amount of pride that fills me up when they successfully do something they’ve been practicing for weeks.
Here’s to the last week, let’s crush it ☀️

It has been brought to my attention some people are having their deposits declined due to "security reasons". I am also having the same issue with completing payments after lessons.
After having a look closer it seems only Mastercard is declining, while VISA is going through no problems. If you have the availability to use a VISA card to create bookings this may be the way around the errors we are experiencing.
If I haven't been able to complete your payment I will reach out to you directly.

Always working on things in the background.
Dusting off the coaching cobwebs and prepping the next generation of squad kids.
Pre Squad has been a hit in its first week of sessions.
Big cheers to the families coming along this week and booking ongoing sessions. You're awesome, and we can see improvements already!

Here is the outlook for the rest of Term One.
Sessions are booked per day so make sure to book every session you want to join in on, but remember that the quickest and easiest way to improve is practice.
You got to be consistent and show up!

As a reminder all sessions must be prebooked via Fresha, either by app or website. You can find the link for this at the top of my page in the "about info" or I have just posted a QR code to take you straight there (I'll pop it in the comments too).
Sessions will be extended to 45 minutes starting on Monday 12/3, with the exception on Thursday mornings which will remain at 30 mins.

You can find all of the availability, session duration, and prices for every service I have to offer on Fresha.
