A fantastic fun night was had by all who attended the clubs Christmas function at the Wedderburn hotel last night. Great weather, good food and drinks a plenty. A special visit from the man in red and his cheeky Elf.

Today we hosted our annual Rose Bowl Chicken and champagne luncheon.
32 beautifully dressed ladies and gentlemen joined us at the club for a wonderful lunch.
We had a bit of fun with fashions on the carpet. The best dressed lady was won by Sue-Ann Hacket. Who wore a beautifully coordinated pink ensemble. The best dressed man was won by Neville White in his grey pants and pink and blue checkered shirt.
The winner of the ladies best hat went to Louise Cook who had a self made creation from a lily pad with lights. Alan Jackson won the men's prize with his brown Acubra.
Thank you to the bowls club ladies who worked hard to put it all together.

Over the past two days Wedderburn Bowls Club has hosted the NCPA over 60s singles competition. Today was the semi final and final. In a hard fought game Lyn Southwall defeated Margaret Kelly. Thank you to the volunteer markers. Congratulations to all the ladies that played.

Today Wedderburn was host to the Amy Roberts Trophy day.
With a slight delay in starting play due to the rain. 40 players took to the greens to compete for the trophy. 3 games of 10 ends were played dodging the rain at times.
A great day was had by all. The players were rewarded for their efforts with a lovely afternoon tea provided by the Wedderburn ladies.
The results were a close run race with the Wedderburn team of Ian Hall, Ruth Hall, Neville White and Steve Leer pipping the team of Geoff Rigby, Tony ?, Stewart Hollis and Robert Reseigh by one point. Congratulations to the winners and Runners Up. The happy team for the day were Joan Earl's team.

Day 3 The Con Jackson Memorial 4s. Also the belated recognition of 100years since the formation of the Wedderburn Bowls Club. The day started with 80 players taking to the greens to compete in the 4s. At around 2pm the Mayor Cr Gavan Holt gave an insight into how the club was formed. Gavan's speech was very interesting. This was followed by an afternoon tea for past members and or their families.
We were very privileged to have the CEO of World Bowls Mr Neil Dalrymple attending the day. Also Mrs Pat Shram President of Bowls Victoria. Both Neil and Pat had family members who played at Wedderburn.
The Winners for the day were Grant Banks team. With Damien Masons team Runners Up. 3rd place was taken out by Matts Team from Dunolly.
Another fabulous Afternoon tea was provided.
The small band of ladies did a fantastic job of providing meals over the 3 days.
Another successful tournament.

Sorry for the late update. The 2nd day of the Easter tournament Triples. Sponsored by Napier Park Funerals. After an exciting day we had to have a 4 way play off of 3 ends.The overall winners were Laurie Withams team. Runners up were Damien Masons team In 3rd Place was Matts Team. Well done and Thank you to all who came and played.
