💙🏐 PROUD OF YOU, SOPHIE, HANNAH & LUCINDA 🏐💙
Today, six of us from BVAI made the 90-minute drive to once again cheer on three very familiar faces — Sophie, Hannah and Lucinda — as they took to the court with Volleyball Horsham, fighting for bronze in the Victorian Volleyball League.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t the ending we were all hoping for. We know how much you wanted that win, and it’s always tough when the final result doesn’t go your way.
But sometimes, the scoreboard only tells a very small part of the story.
We saw three young women who fought hard, backed their teammates and gave everything they had right until the final point. And while today there may not be a bronze medal to take home, there is still so much to be proud of. ❤️🏐
Sophie, Hannah and Lucinda may wear the Volleyball Horsham colours in VVL, but we’re also very lucky to have them regularly come and share the court with us at BVAI. They’ve become very much a part of our volleyball family, which made being there today all the more special. 💙
And a huge congratulations to Volleyball Horsham on a fantastic season. 👏 To reach this stage of the competition is an achievement in itself, and the commitment, teamwork and heart shown by the players, coaches and everyone behind the team deserve to be recognised.
As for our three ladies — hold your heads high.
A medal would have been wonderful, but that wasn’t why six of us drove 90 minutes to be there today. We came because we wanted you to look towards the sidelines and know that some of your BVAI family had made the trip to stand behind you and cheer you on. 🥹💙
Wins and medals eventually become memories. The friendships, experiences, lessons and people who stood beside you along the way are the things that tend to stay.
Well done Sophie, Hannah and Lucinda, and congratulations Volleyball Horsham on a season to be proud of. 🏐👏
No bronze today, but certainly no shortage of pride.
From all of us at BVAI — we’re proud of you three, and we’d happily make that 90-minute drive again. 💙🏐❤️
