Wauchope Amateur Swimming Club is a family, friendly swimming club. We welcome swimmers of all abilities.

We meet on a Tuesday evening during the summer months at the Wauchope Pool.

Exciting news!!! Registrations are now open on Swim Central:

https://swimcentral.swimming.org.au

For the last 4 years we have maintained the same registration fees and will keep the fees the same for this year too (Not many sporting clubs can claim this achievement of no fee increases). Please get onto Swim Central as soon as you can to register for the 26/27 season.

We will also have some skills and technical tips provided to swimmers and families. These will be in person during the season at 5:45pm, as well as information provided on the whiteboard, and videos etc on our page.

We have also decided to reward our swimmers more for personal achievements. This will be done by having certain times our swimmers need to achieve at 50m to be able to swim in our 100m / 200m / 400m strokes. Once the time is achieved the swimmer will be rewarded with a Certificate.

Something that has been gaining traction is having our Swimmers attend local weekend meets hosted by other clubs. One example of this is the Laurieton Christmas Carnival where we had over 20 of our Swimmers attend. You don’t need to be a Rep Swimmer to attend the local meets and it’s a great way to see what happens at rep swimming meets. We will have a Calander of Events put out before the season starts to highlight the local meets as well as the Rep meets during the year.

Our Rep swimmers are keen to get back into it, and some have already started practicing. This year we’re going to set up a Messenger Page for our Rep Swimmers so that every Rep swimmer is aware about meets thst are happening and to also support each other.

The season will start on Tuesday the 13th of October as a Come and Try night. The 20th of October will be our final Come and Try night. These nights are vital as it sets your race times for the season and they are also a great way for any new swimmers to see how Swimclub works.

Last night some of our Committee attended the Regional Australia Bank Community Partnership Program Awards Night. Our club were fortunate to receive just over $80 from the Program.

A fun fact, Regional Australia Bank donate 13% of their after tax profit to the program, last year donating over $3,000,000 to over 2,200 different local organisations.

Looking for something to do on Wednesday night?
The Wauchope Swimming Club are selling the meat raffle tickets at the HASTINGS HOTEL between 6:00pm and 7:00pm. All profits go back to our club.

It's also 2 for 1 night in the bistro and the State of Origin secider will be on the big screen.

Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Wauchope Swimming Club will be held as follows:

Date: 21/07/2026
Time: 6:00pm – 7:00pm
Location: Wauchope RSL Club, Young Street, Wauchope.

All members aged 18 and over are requested to attend the meeting.

Business of the Meeting:
To receive and adopt the minutes of the previous Annual General Meeting.
To receive and consider the Presidents Report and Treasurer’s report for the past season.
To elect the Wauchope Swimming President, Treasurer, Registrar/Recorder positions for the next two-year term.

Nominations:
All members 18 and over are encouraged to nominate for the positions of President, Treasurer, Registrar/Recorder.

Hi All.

I wanted to share some great news regarding Aspen Collins' performance at the State Swimming MC championships for the 12–15 years girls 50m.

Aspen won her heat and achieved a new personal best, dropping her time by an impressive 16.94 seconds. She also received a very positive write-up from the North Coast Multi Class support team.

Well done Aspen, and we look forward to seeing you back next season.
