RESULTS OF THE AUSTRALIAN MASTERS CUP -PICKLEBALL 2026! 🤩🤩🤩🤩
WTC & P Committee member & participating player Deb Wilson has privided the following summary of the National Finals held recently in Sydney.
What a great weekend of pickleball at the Australian Masters Cup National titles.
NSW won the cup! 🏆
A true reflection of the camaraderie with my 70+ NSW team members and the other age groups as well.
Us oldies were given heaps of encouragement – ‘just keep going’, ‘we can’t do it without you’.
Our team had members from Lennox Head, Woy Woy, Pickleball in the Park (Ryde).
The AMC was the culmination of weeks playing at club level and then regionals in Grafton and State finals in Sydney.
WTC Pickleball was represented by Deb Wilson 70+, Lucy Kowalewski played 50+ for Victoria and won gold, Deb McKenzie played for 60+ for South Australia and Joe Vostinar played 70+ for Tasmania, not just one position but 2 positions.

I absolutely loved this team atmosphere and format as it highlighted all the best things about pickleball.
We played with people we just met, cheered for each other and there was such great sportsmanship.
All this with rally scoring made the games much more exciting.
Playing a team tie breaker or ‘dreambreaker’ as it is sometimes called was stressful but so exhilarating!
This is the type of pickleball we can bring back to the club, getting everyone involved in socially competitive pickleball.

We have such wonderful caring members in our club.
