A massive thank you to all the legends who showed up to our Come & Try / New Skater Intake Night this week. Whether you laced up skates for the very first time, dusted off an old pair, or just came along to see what derby is all about — we’re stoked you rolled through our doors.

And an extra loud WELCOME to our newest members who have officially joined the Port Macquarie Roller Derby League family! You’ve taken the first step into a sport that’s tough, empowering, a little chaotic, and packed full of the best humans you’ll ever meet.

We can’t wait to see your skills grow, your confidence build, and to spend the year smashing goals (and maybe a few hips) together on track.

Tomorrow night is the night! If you've been curious about roller derby or if you've just wanted to learn to skate in a safe and controlled environment this is for you!

PMRDL is hosting their first come and try night of the year! Packed with eight wheeled fun, amazing people and new challenges and experiences... Roller derby is where its at!

No experience...no problems! Our keen and experienced coaches will teach you from the very basics. Even if you love skating but you're unsure about being a team skater we've got time, space and positions for you with Port Macquarie Roller Derby League.

2026 is officially warming up and we’re ready to lace up, hit hard, and make questionable life choices on eight wheels again.

🖤 AGM – Tuesday Jan 27
For our 2025 crew rolling into 2026, this is your “be an adult for a minute” night. Important stuff, big plans, derby chaos pending.

💥 First skate back – Tuesday Feb 3
Returning skaters, it’s time to shake off the cobwebs, find your edges, and remember how to stop (mostly).

👀 New skaters – keep those peepers peeled
Our first intake night of the year is coming early March-ish. Exact date dropping soon… and yes, we’re as excited as you are.

Warmest wishes to all for a wonderful Christmas and a happy New Year. PMRDL is now on break and will be back on skates by late January 2026.

We had some adorable visitors yesterday during our time at bunnings 😍 some engaged socialisation training for the pups and a well earned "awww" break for our crew after a big day on the tools! If the ladies would have let us swap snags for pups we probably would have 😆

Thanks to the ladies at for the Bunnings sausage treats for our puppers who had the best time on their socialisation outing, so many beautiful friendly people offering our pups positive experiences 🫶🐾

What is WFTDA? 🛼✨

You may hear your new league mates chatting about WTFDA, and be thinking "what are they talking about"

The Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) is the international governing body of women’s flat track roller derby, representing over 400 leagues across six continents. 🌍🏆 WFTDA sets the global standards for rankings, rules, and competition while providing guidance and resources to grow and support the sport.

As a non-profit organization, WFTDA is dedicated to reimagining roller derby for the modern world—pushing the sport forward and working to make it one of the biggest and most recognized women’s sports globally. 💜🔥

By governing and promoting the sport, WFTDA continues to revolutionize the role of women in sports through the collective voice of its member leagues.

Most leagues, even those small town leagues not participating in sanctioned or ranked matches train, scrim and play to WFTDA gameplay rules and regulations. WFTDA also host the biggest Women's Roller Derby championships across the globe that all the derby die hards refer to, learn from, chat about and get excited for.
