On Tuesday the regional cross-country trial was held at Runaway Bay. Canterbury had multiple students in every age group competing, all showing true Canterbury spirit and sportsmanship.
Only the top 5 are guaranteed a position in highly competitive field.

i’m still waiting on the official results, but a massive congratulations to all of our athletes🏃🏃‍♀️💨

🏃‍♂️ JTAS & TAS CROSS COUNTRY CARNIVALS RESCHEDULED 🏃‍♀️

Lace up those runners — the Junior TAS and TAS Cross Country Carnivals have officially been rescheduled to Monday, 8 June at John Paul College’s Cec Munns Sports Centre.

Thank you for your patience while we locked in a new date. We can’t wait to see all our students out on the course, giving it their all and cheering each other on. Let the (new) countdown begin! 🎉

Zarayah Williams was back out there today, in Triple Jump🏃‍♀️💨

Zarayah jumped a personal best jump to secure 1st place 12.08m. This is an amazing achievement from an athlete who works very hard in all her training sessions😎

Riley Jordan 400m final has concluded with his second Personal Best time on top of his one second PB from yesterday! 57.71
Fastest in QLD and 6th fastest in all of Australia 👏🏃💨
Riley placed 8th in Australia for the 800m final too, with a 3 second PB in the heat 😎

Riley is growing as an athlete with every race, and always has a smile on his face. This young man is definitely one to watch both on the track and on the AFL field 🏃💨😎

Zarayah Williams has just finished her heptathlon placing 🥉🏃‍♀️💨

Day one she competed in hurdles, High Jump, Shot Put and 200m. Today was the Long Jump, Javelin and the 800m. Two huge days of very strong competition, where she showed great maturity to keep her composure after every event.

3rd best in Australia 🔥

🥈Medal Alert 🥈

Congratulations Archie Watt has taken out 🥈in his favourite event-Pole Vault.

Coming off some Injury set backs at the start of the year, this is truly incredible result. Archie has a layer back approach, and never seems bothered by the pressure💪

I think he also had the biggest cheers squad 😎🌟
