🏆 On Saturday night we came together at our major sponsor, Elanora Hotel East Gosford, to celebrate everything that made this year so special. Before we get into the awards, we just want to say how incredibly proud we are as a club.

Finishing 2nd in the Club Championship was an amazing achievement, especially considering it’s never been something we’ve chased. Our focus has always been on building a strong, supportive club, and the results have followed. We saw success across all grades, with 4 out of 5 teams making finals and both our 2nd and 4th grade sides pushing all the way through to Grand Finals.

A massive thank you to every single player, family member and volunteer who contributed this season. Whether you were umpiring, scoring, running the canteen, helping prep the field, ducking out for last-minute supplies, or just stepping in wherever needed—it does not go unnoticed, and we are so grateful.

A special shoutout to our kiddos who spend their days at the field supporting their loved ones. Playing in the dirt, laughing loud, lending a helping hand, and bringing the best kind of energy. You’re a huge part of what makes this club so special. After hearing more about the foundations of our club from life member Ray Deacon over the weekend, it’s something we’re incredibly proud to still uphold 53 years on. Ray spoke about how this club was built on more than just baseball—it was built on kids spending their weekends down at the fields, from first light to last pitch, with dirt on their clothes and smiles on their faces. A place where friendships were formed, families came together, and everyone felt like they belonged.

To our VIPs who joined us on the night—thank you. It was an honour to share the room with those who helped build the Bears into what it is today.

And finally, to every Bear and their families, thank you, thank you, thank you. What a cracker season. We can’t wait to do it all again next year.

Bears going into hibernation ✌🏼

What a weekend of Grand Final action for the mighty Bears 🐻 4th grade kicked things off against the Bobcats, jumping out early and looking in control before a late surge saw it finish 4-all… but with ladder position the decider, we copped one of the toughest losses going. Absolute heartbreaker. 2nd grade then rolled into battle with the Rebels and put on a seriously gutsy performance. Locked at 2-all for most of it before tired legs crept in late. Scoreboard didn’t do the effort justice, but anyone watching knows how hard the boys went. Couldn’t be prouder of both grades for the season they’ve had. Rest up, reload and we’ll be back next year bigger, better. Bears out ✌🏼

🚨 GRAND FINAL WEEK 🚨

It all comes down to this! We’ve got 2 grades flying the Bears flag in the big dance — 2nd Grade and 4th Grade are ready to battle it out for the trophy 🏆

📍 Important change of venue: All games have been moved from Springfield to Watanobbi due to the rain and ground conditions, so make sure you head to the right spot!

We’re all doing a rain dance (the good kind) and praying the weather holds off so we can get these games in tomorrow. If not, don’t stress, there’s a washout round locked away next week if needed. ☔️

Let’s pack the sidelines and get around our teams. Players, supporters, friends, family… everyone! Bring the noise and let’s bring it home. And when it’s all said and done, we’re heading back to our major sponsor for celebratory drinks, dinner, and some elite karaoke 🎤

Let’s celebrate what’s already been an unreal season… and hopefully toast to TWO premierships 🍻🏆🏆

Semi Finals done and dusted for the Bears! 🐻⚾️

4th Grade kicked things off against the Indians and absolutely turned it on with a massive win, punching their ticket straight into next week’s Grand Final. 3rd Grade then battled it out in a nail-biter but unfortunately went down by just one run, bringing their season to an end. A huge effort and something to be proud of.

Congratulations to every grade at the Bears this season — we’re proud of every single one of you. Now it’s time for the big dance! Clear your calendars and get down to Baseball Park next Saturday to cheer on our two Bears sides chasing the trophy: 2nd Grade and 4th Grade.

Finals baseball tomorrow and it’s do-or-die for our Bears. Win and you’re off to the Grand Final, lose and the gloves get packed away for the season. 3rd and 4th grade are both at home taking on the Rebels and the Indians, so get down and get loud as they fight for a spot in next week’s big dance. The canteen will be firing, so bring your comfy pants and your drinking shoes, grab a feed and help cheer the Bears home. Good luck tomorrow lads — swing hard and play harder. 🐻⚾️

What a weekend of finals baseball! The rain held off just enough for all games to go ahead and it was a cracker. 4th grade kicked things off Saturday with a brave effort but just fell short, however they get another shot this weekend for a spot in the grand final. 2nd grade stunned us all with a huge win and have punched their ticket straight through to the grand final — locked in! Sunday saw 3rd grade deliver a mighty win to keep their finals run alive and they’ll battle again this Saturday for their grand final chance. 1st grade showed incredible fight, but with the game ending in a draw due to fading light, the Dingos progressed after finishing higher on the ladder. We couldn’t be prouder of the effort and mateship across the club, now let’s get behind our 3rd and 4th grade teams this weekend! 🐻⚾️

💪🏼 ⚾️ Finals are here and all roads lead to Watanobbi this weekend. 2nd and 4th Grade kick things off Saturday in the Major Semi. Technically they get a second chance if things go wrong… but let’s be honest, they won’t need it. Sunday turns the pressure right up with 1st and 3rd Grade in sudden-death showdowns. Win and move on, lose and its curtains for the season. Bring the noise, bring the support, and everyone join us in doing a little anti-rain dance so we can actually play some ball. 🐻

🚨FINALS TRAINING 🗓️ TONIGHT ⏰ 5:30/6 📍 BASEBALL PARK, SPRINGFIELD

It’s the first round of finals this weekend and 4 out of our 5 Bears grades are in the hunt, but if we want to keep playing next week, we’ve actually got to earn it. So get down to training tonight, shake off the cobwebs, and put in the work. March baseball isn’t handed out… it’s trained for. See you there, Bears. 🐻💪
