What a first year of footy.
Today wasn’t the ending our Under 13 Girls hoped for, but nothing can take away from what this group has achieved.
In their first season together playing tackle rugby league, these girls went all the way to a Grand Final. They learned, grew, competed and became a team that backed each other every step of the way.
Congratulations to Brothers on the Grand Final win and a great game of footy.
To our girls — hold your heads high. You should be incredibly proud of how far you’ve come and everything you’ve achieved in just one season.
The result might not have gone our way today, but what a season, what a team and what a first year.
This is only the beginning.
