VALE – RICKY KENNEDY

It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the passing of our fellow Club member, Ricky Kennedy.

Ricky was a valued member of our Club and will be remembered fondly by those who had the pleasure of knowing him. His friendship, good company and contribution to our Club community will be sadly missed.

On behalf of the Committee and all Club members, we extend our sincere condolences to Ricky’s family, friends and loved ones during this difficult time.

Rest in peace, Ricky. You will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered.

Michael Lucas – World Champion!

Overnight BSC's esteemed Vice President, Mick, went and got himself a World Championship Title (shooting 192/200) in Seniors division in Italy at the Fitasc World Compak Championships. He even went into the last day, leading, and still shot himself a clean round – nerves of steel? Perhaps.

Further, fellow BSC Member, Peter Tobin and John Younger (not BSC, but we forgive him) came in with a most excellent 188/200 each. Their combined score, with Mick’s, pushed our Mens Senior team into the gold!

Now, we hear the moans that Compak is not an SCA discipline any more, but bloody hell, our Members are out there kicking goals … or shooting things … and … well, wow – what bloody legends.

A beautiful day at Warwick for our monthly shoot, despite the sneaky breeze that made the targets a little unpredictable!

Our monthly 100 Target event is this Sunday 23rd August, starting at 9am.

Practice will run from 1:30pm Saturday afternoon, $15 per round of 25.
