BUILDING A BETTER GAME πŸ’š thanks to Polocrosse Australia Australian Squad members, Callum Brook, Emma Piltz & Russell Owens, alongside other Warwick Club coaches, our Junior & Intermediate players were given the opportunity to learn from their extensive experience, skills & knowledge over the weekend.

Fifteen players rolled into Morgan Park ready to be part of polocrosse's next-gen.

Saturday saw the participants cover a range of skills & drills from horsemanship, racquet skills, horse preparation and team participation.

It wasn't all business, with the club hosting a BBQ during the evening, giving the youngsters a chance to let off some steam - providing the entertainment πŸ‘‰ games on foot under lights on the main field. Those who've never played on the hallowed main field, can now say they've played on the main field πŸ˜‰

Sunday saw everyone return and put their new found skills to the test with a couple of practise games, before some very tired little people headed home.

The Warwick Club would like to take this opportunity to welcome a couple of new Juniors - Riley & Shaun - we hope your new sport, we're stoked you've picked polocrosse!

Thanks to Club Coaches and Club Coaching Director Mark O’Leary for the initiative – everybody’s time is valuable but generously sharing time AND personal skills was a highlight for the kids.

THE MORGAN PARK MAIN FIELD 🌱 had a big year, and after 45 games for the season, it was time for a new surface!

As always, our loyal Club members showed-up, rolled-up their sleeves and made a great team laying turf to renovate the centre section of the main field.

The water is on, thanks goes to Southern Downs Regional Council for their support with this!

Polocrosse World Cup 2019

See the world’s best battle it out at the 2019 Polocrosse World Cup in Warwick, QLD. Combining the strategy of netball, the toughness of rugby, and the ball skills of lacrosse, polocrosse is an Australian made sport where action, power, skill and pace dominate. Celebrating 80 years of polocrosse in 2019, the Polocrosse World Cup will bring players from eight countries – Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, USA, UK, Ireland, Zambia and Zimbabwe - to southern Queensland to see which team reigns supreme. As current world champions, South Africa will be fighting to hold onto the title, while former champions, Australia, will use their home turf and supporters to their advantage to try and take it back! The event takes place over 7 days at Morgan Park in Warwick, with spectator numbers expected to be in the tens of thousands for this world class event. While the horses and riders show off their talents on the field, spectators will get an up close and personal experience from the sidelines where they can literally smell the sweat on the horses! Polocrosse is king of the one-horse sports. Be there in 2019 to live the action!
