And by “finest”, we mean absolutely terrible.

There are two types of people at 6:30am Pilates:

The ones who wake up early, have breakfast, drink their coffee, arrive 10 minutes early and calmly set up their reformer.

And the ones who wake up at 6:17am.

No breakfast.
One sock missing.
Water bottle empty.
Keys WHERE?!
Pre-workout is pure panic.

Worried about looking like a beginner at the gym?

Here’s the thing… you are one.

And that’s not something to be embarrassed about.

You’re not supposed to know how to use every piece of equipment.
You’re not supposed to lift the heaviest weights.
You’re not supposed to walk in on day one knowing exactly what you’re doing.

The strongest person in the gym had a first session too.

They learnt. They asked questions. They got things wrong. They kept showing up.

And eventually, they stopped feeling like the beginner.

You don’t need to get fit before you start.

You don’t need to know what you’re doing before you walk through the door.

You just need to start.

For Benji, becoming an athlete isn’t a new ambition.

It’s something he’s been working towards since he was a kid.

Now, as an MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) athlete, he’s putting in the work to develop his skills, compete at a higher level and see just how far he can take it.

There comes a time in life when the group chat changes.

Less “where are we going Saturday night?”
More “what protein are you using?”
“Are you taking creatine?”
“How much are you lifting?”

And the occasional unsolicited update about someone’s sleep score from their Oura ring.

But we say bring it! Getting older doesn’t mean accepting getting weaker.

Train hard. Eat well. Build muscle. Stay strong.

And accept this is what fun looks like now. 💪
