Platycam is back online!
The world's only livestream of platypus in the wild is a streaming broadcast of the Grange Burn in Hamilton in SW Victoria where most days, platypus can seen in their natural environment.*
Platycam has just had a battery upgrade, so we are hoping the stream continues to be as strong as our love of the platypus is! **
If you don't spot a platypus, you might see some of the resident ducks, rakali, swans, moor hens and even a big white goose affectionally named, Gordo, who seems to love paddling in front of the camera for some screen time.
* platypus spotting is not guaranteed and they appear at all hours of the day and night , but you can often see them at dawn, just after dusk, and randomly between 12-1am!
** Platycam is powered by solar panels and successive days of cloud may mean the stream is disconnected. It requires a manual reconnection online so we'll endeavour to get it back up asap.
