Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu as a martial art is a ground base style of martial art that involves no striking elements (kicks, punches, elbows or knees) but relies on grappling techniques to gain control and submit your opponent through chokes, holds, joint manipulation or locks. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a realistic but safe style of martial arts suitable for all ages (kids-adults), male & female. Warrnambool Brazilian Jiu Jitsu offers 2 different kids classes based on the age of the child. By offering aged specific classes, we are catering to the childs need and learning outcomes. Our adults class range from 16yrs with our eldest member being over 62yrs of age and has a mix of both male and female students. Our head coach/instructor is a qualified teacher; has a law background, Working with Children’s Check (mandatory), Police check, Level 2 First Aid qualified and has worked in the Emergency Services field for the last 16 years.
