A huge thank you to all 16 teams who travelled to City Bowls Club and helped make the 2026 City Club 5aSide Tournament such a fantastic event.

What a fantastic morning of bowls with two outstanding semi-finals played at City Bowls Club!

Congratulations to the City Bowls Club team, who have made their way through to the Grand Final, where they will take on the Drysdale Bowling Club in what promises to be a fantastic final showdown. 🏆👏

A huge congratulations also to our Equal 3rd Placegetters — Mortlake & Winchelsea. Both teams bowled superbly throughout the tournament and should be extremely proud of their performances. 👏👏

After two fantastic days of competition, the Top 4 Finals are now set!

🥇 1st – City Bowls Warrnambool - 58
City finished on top of the ladder and will take on:

🥉 4th – Mortlake Waterhens - 45

In the other semi-final:

🥈 2nd – Winchelsea - 51

Two fantastic semi-finals are locked in for tomorrow morning, with four quality teams battling it out for a place in the 2026 City Club 5aSide Grand Final.

👏 A special congratulations to the Ocean Grove Girls, who bowled sensationally across the two days. They finished in 5th place and missed the finals by the smallest of margins on percentage — an outstanding effort!

Last year’s champions, the Colac Lakers, finished in 6th place after another strong campaign.

Good luck to all four finalists tomorrow — we’re expecting some fantastic bowls! 🎯🏆

Day Two is well underway, and the battle for a place in tomorrow’s $10,000 finals is heating up! 🔥
With 6 rounds completed, City Bowls have continued their outstanding form, sitting clearly on top of the leaderboard with 6 wins from 6 games.
🔝 CURRENT TOP 8
🥇 1st – CITY BOWLS — 51 points
🥈 2nd – WINCHELSEA — 39 points
🥉 3rd – COLAC — 36 points
4️⃣ MORTLAKE — 32 points
5️⃣ DRYSDALE — 31 points
6️⃣ OCEAN GROVE GIRLS — 30 points
7️⃣ PORTLAND MEMORIAL — 29 points
8️⃣ MT GAMBIER — 28 points
There is still plenty to play for, with the top four teams progressing to tomorrow’s semi-finals and final.
The race for the top four is incredibly tight, with only 7 points separating 2nd to 5th, while several teams just outside the top four are still within striking distance.
With more rounds to come today, anything can happen! 🎯

Day Two of the 2026 City Club 5aSide Tournament is underway, and the race for a place in tomorrow’s finals is heating up! 🔥

After an exciting opening day, the Top 4 are:

🥇 1st – City Bowls — 33 points
🥈 2nd – Winchelsea — 27 points
🥉 3rd – Colac — 23 points
4️⃣ 4th – Portland Memorial — 22 points

With another 4 rounds to be played today, there is plenty still to play for and the battle for the top four is sure to go right down to the wire!

The top four teams at the completion of today’s play will progress through to tomorrow’s finals, where they will battle it out for the $10,000 prize money! 💰🏆

Get your team together and join us at the Warrnambool Bowls Club for our popular Monthly 2 Bowl Triples, held on the third Wednesday of every month.

Our next event is on Wednesday 16th September, and nominations are now open. With a maximum field of 32 teams, make sure you get your entry in early!
