Rest and recovery



Why is rest and recovery important to your training process-

Rest and recovery are an important part of an exercise program because it allows the body time to repair and strengthen itself in between workouts, Recovery gives the body time to replenish its stores that have been depleted via your workout regime.

Every time you work out you create microscopic tears in your muscle tissues. When you rest, your muscles start to heal and grow back stronger, meaning you'll be able to do the same workout with less effort in the future. If you skip rest days, it could leave your body being overworked and may even lead to injury.

Sleep, hydration, nutrition, stretching, massage & Self Myofascial Release (SMR) are all great ways of helping your body recover.
