Koorie Academy is proud to announce the 2026 NAIDOC basketball clinic, “SKILLS N DRILLS,” a vibrant community event celebrating “50 Years of Deadly.” This special day invites young aspiring athletes aged 5 to 17 to engage in basketball development, cultural activities, and an exciting Allstar basketball game.

The clinic is scheduled for Sunday, July 12, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, at the Monash University Clayton Campus, located at 42 Scenic Blvd, Clayton VIC 3168.

To mark this significant milestone and encourage participation, Koorie Academy is offering exclusive giveaways for all children participating in the clinic who register. Each registered participant will receive a free Koorie Academy backpack, a pair of Koorie Academy socks, and a limited edition 2026 NAIDOC T-shirt. Registration is mandatory to secure these special items.

“We are incredibly excited to host the Deadly NAIDOC Community Basketball Day, celebrating 50 years of Deadly,” said a Koorie Academy representative. “This event is not just about basketball; it’s about fostering cultural pride, community spirit, and providing a platform for our youth to develop their skills in a supportive and engaging environment. Koorie Academy to Host Community Day Celebrating 50 Years of Deadly NAIDOC Week 2026.

Koorie Academy in partnership with Ngwala Willumbong Aboriginal Corporation its upcoming Community Day, a vibrant celebration of culture and basketball in honor of NAIDOC Week 2026, marking “50 Years of Deadly.”

The event invites the entire community to join in a day of cultural festivities and sporting engagement, highlighting the rich heritage of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples through the unifying spirit of basketball.

“We are thrilled to host this Community Day as part of NAIDOC Week 2026,” said CEO of Koorie Academy Ricky Baldwin ,

The DEADLY NAIDOC Community Basketball Day promises a day filled with thrilling basketball action, cultural immersion, and community spirit. The highlight of the day will be an exciting showdown between the Koorie Academy Allstars and Team Ngwala.

Attendees of all ages are invited to participate in the Koorie Academy Deadly Basketball Clinic, offering aspiring athletes the chance to hone their skills with expert guidance.
