FAREWELL FROM SPLASHED! SWIM SCHOOL - A SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

🏊🏽‍♀️ Friends,

After nearly 30 years of teaching children to swim, the time has come for me to hang up the Instructor rashie and begin a whole new adventure!

I'm posting today to let you know that I'm retiring! And along with that comes the announcement of the closure of Splashed! Swim School. We will be permanently closing on Sunday 28th September. This will be our final term of lessons, and while it’s bittersweet to say goodbye, I’m filled with gratitude for the amazing last 16 years here in Warriewood and excitement for what lies ahead!

Splashed! has been more than just a swim school. It’s been a vibrant part of the Northern Beaches community.

"Teaching kids water safety skills for life" and instilling a life-long love of swimming has always been at the core of our child-centered philosophy. We've watched hundreds of young kids take their first strokes, build confidence and grow into strong, capable swimmers with a respect and love for the water. Over these years we've also provided training and employment for so many enthusiastic and passionate swimming teachers who have been the soul of our program.

So, what's next? Mark & I are busy planning our next chapter: buying a caravan and setting off to lap the map of Australia! We’re excited to explore this beautiful country, meet new people, and embrace the freedom of The Grey(-ing!) Nomads 😊.

🌟 But before I hit the road, we still have five exciting weeks of Term 3 ahead! Our team remains focused on our swimmers, building their skills, making these final weeks count and finishing the term strong. Next week is Assessment Week, where we'll be carefully reviewing each child and celebrating the skills they've mastered. Whether you've been with us at Splashed! for over 10 years (like some families!) or just a term, it’s been a privilege to support each and every one of our swimmers in their Learn to Swim journey, and we’re so proud of the progress they’ve made.

Mums groups! The weather is turning cool but the water is warm at Splashed! Swim School. Turn your weekly get together into a fun swim session with your bubbas. RhymeTime at Splashed is on Tuesdays and Fridays in Term 2 from 10:30-11:30am. We’ve turned our purpose built Learn to Swim facility into a public swimming pool. And we play some banging nursery rhyme tunes you can splash about to!
$12 per swimmer.
No booking required.
Max 10 swimmers + carer.

It’s our birthday! 🎉 🥳🎊🎈
15 years ago today, on Saturday 8th May 2010 we opened our doors and ran the first swimming lesson at our new Warriewood location - the first commercial, purpose built Learn to Swim facility in Pittwater. It’s been so rewarding to have been a part of this community for so long and watch so many kids go through our program, emerging as competent and confident young swimmers. Here’s a ome quick pics from the early days and here’s to the next 15 years!! 🏊‍♂️❤️🏊

Nothing beats an early morning swim to start the day! Punched out 1.5kms at Collaroy today with one of our amazing Splashed! Swim School teachers, Georgie. 💪🏼👊🏼💥

We are so lucky to have these beautiful ocean pools right at our doorstep and at this time of year, the conditions and temperature are amazing.

Swimmers under 5 with a parent / carer welcome for a casual, recreational swim session. Every Tuesday & Friday from 11:00am - 12:00pm. $12 per swimmer, parent is free of charge 😁
