I’d like to thank all the clients and friends of Pilates on Yorkes for your continued support this year. I’d especially like to thank you for your understanding as we took a pause after April to deal with a couple of health issues this year, and in particular apologies to my rehab clients who may have really felt my absence.
I was told recently that I was retired from pilates. Perhaps I have, it’s been a minute or two - let me think about it in the new year… Time moves on for us all. But luckily we have some wonderful movement therapists both existing and starting up, including right here in Warooka, so I knew you were all well taken care of in my absence with exciting movement choices.
Bella started Pilates on Yorkes in 2016 with mat classes up and down YP. At the time pilates was almost unheard of on YP, and in particular pilates as a tool for pre and post partum strength during pregnancy, and for rehabilitation - despite being utilised by dancers and athletes for years. I am still immensely proud of what Bella started here. Seven years on, and it’s fantastic to see how it’s grown here, and Bella is now sharing pilates in her new home town in Tintinara.
The photo is of a Christmas decoration my dear Nan made in craft in her nursing home in Perth a long long time ago. I still put it out every year as it reminds me of Nan and she is still dearly missed. Take this opportunity to hold your loved ones close, tell them how much they are loved, forgive old hurts, and make plans to create lots of special memories in 2024 together.
Merry Christmas to you all and a Happy New Year XX Dana
