All stocked up for Christmas! The whiting were pretty timid with the wind blowing 25knots easterly. Still managed to get my bag though, plus two little gummy’s and some by catch.

Mate and I had a good little session last night on the snapper, in Westernport. Couple 3kg fish and some nice pan size. We also dropped 2 real good fish, but you can’t catch them all. 😅

Never fished offshore for gummy’s before but Jono and I decide to give it a crack today.

We spent the morning chasing blue throat wrasse on a nice bit of reef. 1 hour in and we had plenty of big blue throat. So we pushed out a little deeper and sent the rods down.

Needless to say everything came together landing this nice 17kg gummy shark.

Chased the snapper this time. Mate jono got a nice 5.5kg snapper on board today. No snapper for me unfortunately but later on as tide changed we decided to chase some gummy’s and the old gummy spot didn’t disappoint.

Went out bait collecting today for this weekend. Smashed them pretty quick so decided to go to the good old gummy spot for a little bit and wasn’t long till I got this nice 7kg Gummy Shark.

Best mate Tynan doesn’t really handle boats to well. So I suggested that we get into trout fishing. Which we could both enjoy and learn together.

We both didn’t have work yesterday so decide we would give it a crack and head up to Noojee. Definitely was a good experience trying something different. We both had a ball and was good to see Tynan get his first trout. Which I was probably more excited about. 😂
