๐ง More Than Just Refereeing | Mental Health Training Session
Tonight, the South Coast Group 7 Referees Association teamed up with The Mindful Movement to deliver our first-ever Mental Health Training Session.
This is something our Association has never done before, and it was important to bring our junior referees together for an evening that combined fun activities and teamwork before heading upstairs for group discussions around mental health, wellbeing and the importance of knowing that support is available โ whether professionally or from within our own refereeing community.
What makes the night even more special is our partnership with The Mindful Movement team. Not only are they local, but they are also part of the Group 7 Rugby League community. Jen and Keiran have been incredible throughout the entire process, and we are extremely proud to partner with The Mindful Movement for the next three seasons. ๐ซถ
A massive shout-out also goes to our amazing photographer Jenna from Game Face Photography, who continually goes above and beyond to capture incredible photos and memories of our referees throughout the season. ๐ธ
Thank you to our coaches and supporters who attended and helped make the session possible โ Balunn, Dane, Carter, Karra-Lee, Ryan, Kat, Tyron and Jarrad.
And last but certainly not least, thank you to every one of our junior referees who attended tonight!
Refereeing is about more than what happens on the field. We want our young officials to know that they are part of a team, they are supported, and there is always someone there to talk to. ๐
A full unveiling of our Round 18 Mental Health Jersey is only hours away, keep a look out! ๐
