Mountain Vista Golf Club is a 9-hole 2627M Par 35 Course located at Waratah, the heart of North West Tasmania's picturesque Tarkine. $15.00 All day greens.

The Mountain Vista Golf Club is a 9 hole public course in the North - North West Coast of Tasmania and is located in the small historic mining township of Waratah. A mere 45 minutes drive from Burnie you are assured a round of golf all year round. The clubs signature hole is the Par 5 579M 5th which is one of the longest holes in the southern hemisphere. The par of the course is 35 (2627M) and th

is picturesque layout provides a challenging experience for even the most talented of golfers yet also provides that pleasurable experience for the social golfer. With a fully licensed bar and clubhouse facilities that provide a warm and welcoming family friendly atmosphere you'll be sure to enjoy the experience that is Mountain Vista and your time mingling with the locals. Competition days are a Sunday (Mens & Women) at 10:00am and twilight competitions are held of a Wednesday during daylight savings. All Most welcome. Peak Condition of the course can be experience between Nov & March. Clubs are available for hire upon request. Green Fees are $15.00. We look forward to seeing you here :)

Congratulations to all the winners during our 2026 Annual Major Tournament weekend. (See photos)

Thank you to all the golfers who participated in this years events.🏌🏼‍♀️🏌🏽‍♂️ The MVGC truly appreciates your support of our little voluntary club and this tournament weekend. It was great to see so many familiar faces again and also some new ones this year which resulted in two large fields. A big shoutout to M.Campton and the Wynyard boys for their numbers In the field on Saturday.

It was two completely different days of weather for this years events. Saturday’s conditions were perfect for golf - 23 degrees and no wind. Sundays conditions once again tested our strong field with heavy rain showers and challenging wind gusts all day.

Days like this aren’t possible without our amazing sponsors. Thank you once again for your continued support and allowing us to put up some amazing prizes to our members and visiting golfers. This year prizes were valued at over $4000 for the weekend which truly is amazing for the size of our club. Please continue to support them where ever possible just as they support our club!

Thank you to all the volunteers who helped on the day and in the months leading up to the weekend. These include the ladies in the kitchen. The food was amazing once again. The bar staff for keeping us hydrated. The ladies in the office who got the field away and did the cards - well done. A big special mention to the guys who worked on the course, Including our two next generation greenskeepers (blame them for the pin placements) It was in great condition yet again. THANK YOU!!! For giving up your own time to present the course like it was. The 5 of you have once again done yourselves and the club proud.
Your efforts don’t go unnoticed and are greatly appreciated by those that use the facility.

Lastly from the MVGC committee we really hope you enjoyed your time at the club this year and look forward to welcoming you all back again in 2026 - along with some more new faces in order to continue to build on this great event for the Waratah community.

Thank you to all the golfers who participated in this years events.🏌🏼‍♀️🏌🏽‍♂️ The MVGC truly appreciates your support of our little voluntary club and this tournament weekend. It was great to see many familiar faces and also some new ones.

Once again this year we hosted two very strong fields. With a good representation of players from all over tassie and some interstate players also this year. Sundays weather made for some very trying conditions with rain showers and strong winds all day (upto 92 km/hr at times) testing everyone.

Of course days like this aren’t possible without our amazing sponsors. Thank you once again for your continued support and allowing us to put up some amazing prizes to our members and visiting golfers. This year prizes were valued at over $4000 for the weekend which truly is amazing for the size of our club. Please continue to support them where ever possible just as they support our club!

Successful events like this will allow us to continue to invest more and more back into the course itself so please keep up the great work, we are making progress and getting there.
