We have big news to share: Hussey Seating Company has entered into an agreement to purchase select assets from Camatic Seating, an Australian-based competitor known for its high-quality chairs.

This strategic move fills a key gap in our current product line, allowing us to make rail mounted exterior beam seating, considered to be the de facto standard in new outdoor stadiums. Additionally, this expansion means a wider variety of seating options for the arenas, auditoriums, universities, and places of worship we partner with, solidifying our position as the global market leader in spectator seating.

The transition of Camatic’s assets into our manufacturing operations will take time and we will provide regular updates throughout this process, but we look forward to combining the high level of quality that Camatic has come to be known for with the power of Hussey’s global infrastructure.

The transaction is targeted to close by the end of June.

This week we’re looking back at our work at , home of the and more than 65,000 Camatic seats.

The visually striking Allegiant Stadium was the first ever stadium project in the world to introduce 4 bespoke seating solutions in a single venue. Camatic Seating was tasked with meeting the project teams vision of a truly unique stadium experience that had never been seen before. To accommodate this, customised Quantum, Forte, Activa and Valencia seating systems were designed and installed throughout the stadium in general admission, retractable seating and VIP / Premium Loge seating areas.

Two years on since the inaugural game, Allegiant Stadium still looks as impressive as the day it was opened.

As the NBA season approaches, we look back on the fantastic work completed at the renovation of State Farm Arena, home of the Atlanta Hawks and 16,000 Camatic Seating Forte seats. 

Forte is the industry standard seating system for premium indoor arenas that operate as multi-use venues. From ultra-compact retractable seating to plush and spacious VIP seating and everything in-between, the Forte seating system from Camatic delivers unsurpassed comfort and high reliability to hundreds of venues around the world. 

In 2021 State Farm Arena was named Pollstar’s Best New Concert Venue and in 2022 was recognised as the world’s first sports and entertainment venue to be TRUE Platinum Certified for Zero Waste as well as LEED Cert Gold Certified.

42,500 Camatic Seats installed at Allianz Stadium - Sydney Football Stadium.
 
After a three-year tender and delivery process spanning the height of pandemic lock-downs, work is finally complete at Allianz Stadium and it is now ready for the inaugural game this weekend. 
 
With a seating colour plan designed by indigenous artist Tony Albert, the architects and designers presented to Camatic Seating what is undoubtedly the most iconic and complicated seating installation configuration ever seen in a stadium. With two product types and five colours in each, this complexity coupled with multiple layout configurations made for one of Camatics most challenging but also rewarding installations. 

The need for every seat to be installed in specific locations within the stadium required a complex, yet flexible, manufacturing plan accommodating the unique design and schedule variations caused by Covid and unprecedented inclement weather. Success was only achieved via a highly collaborative relationship between Camatic, the architects and onsite contractors resulting in the ambitious seating configuration being completed ahead of schedule and delighting all to behold. 
 
All General Admission and VIP seating was manufactured in Melbourne and utilised a primary locally based supply chain. 
 
We would like to thank all suppliers, contractors and Camatic Seating staff for bringing this fantastic stadium to life.

Brand new cinema installation at DendyCinemas Southport

More than 820 Odeon Club chairs supplied by Camatic Seating in 4 fabric colours across 11 auditoriums. Built by Hutchinson Builders and opened in June 2022, Southport is the latest in Dendy cinemas expansion into Queensland with a series of high end boutique auditoriums, creating an intimate and unique cinema offering for the region.

The Odeon Club from Camatic has been providing cinemas with countless hours of comfort since its inception more than 25 years ago and was installed at Dendy Southport to achieve capacity in an ergonomic and aesthetically fitting seating system.

Fabrics supplied by Warwick Fabrics Australiaics and matching in perfectly with each rooms visual design.

The Australian Open is Back!

Camatic Seating is proud to have supplied seating systems for more than two decades to Melbourne Olympic Parks, the host precinct of the Australian Open tennis tournament.

We are delighted to have supplied multiple arenas within the precinct including Rod Laver Arena, Margaret Court Arena, John Cain Arena and more recently Kia Arena development featuring more than 5,000 Quantum seats. All of which were manufactured and assembled less than half an hour’s drive away from the venue at our Melbourne facility.

Bringing to life world-class boutique cinemas at Red Hill Cinemas!

We’ve partnered with independent cinema group Five Star Cinemas to supply hundreds of Valencia Motion 10 and Odeon Grande seats at their impressive Red Hill Cinemas site.

This historic site, previously an abandoned roller-skating rink, has been transformed into one of the region’s most unique cinema offerings. Camatic Seating has provided plush recliners and premium ergonomic seating solutions into this retro-styled venue, styled in a manner to pay homage to the sites former life from the 1920’s through to the mid-sixties as a local cinema.
