👀🏐 HOW TO SPOT A NETBALL DAD 🏐👀
Here are the tell-tale signs…
📣 The distinctive cry of “SHOOT! SHOOT!” — yelled at full volume approximately 0.4 seconds after the ball enters the goal third, or their child takes possession (regardless of whether they are playing goals or not).
🗣️ Has strong opinions. About umpiring, coaching, wet weather policies, player performance — and isn’t shy about sharing them.
🏐 Shows up every week ready to provide tactical advice from the sidelines, between quarters or after the game — whether it was requested or not 😋
🏆 Celebrates an intercept like they just won the grand final.
🧠 Knows the rules. Or at least has a very convincing theory about what the rules should be.
✅ Keeps a running score in his head — and somehow knows exactly how many goals are needed to win and how many minutes are left in the quarter.
And finally…
💚 Might be competitive on the sidelines, but is always their player’s biggest fan.
