A huge thank you to all the families who joined us for our Welcome & Tryout Day!

We had one of our biggest Tryout Day turnouts, and with fantastic weather it was great to see so many young athletes having a go at Little Athletics.

A special thank you to our returning athletes and families, Chief Officials, volunteers and Club Committees who stayed on, helped run events and welcomed new families to Knox.

🏅 CHIEF OFFICIALS TRAINING – THIS SATURDAY 🏅

A reminder that our Chief Officials Training will be held this Saturday, 12 September from 8:30 am at Knox Athletics Track.

The session will cover important updates for the 2026–27 season, including:

✅ Event rules and procedures
✅ Knox Centre processes
✅ Committee expectations
✅ Child Safety requirements
✅ Helping events run safely, consistently and smoothly from Week 1

Our Chief Officials play an important role in keeping our competition program running well each week, so we encourage all our returning and new Chiefs to attend.

🏃 Tryout Day will commence straight after the training session from 10:00 am, and we would appreciate Chiefs staying on to assist with the events.

💛 Centre-supported coaching is FREE for registered Knox Little Athletics athletes.

📅 WEDNESDAY TRAINING
From 4:30 pm onwards, including:
• Middle Distance – Mike Kerr, from 4.30pm - 6.00pm
• Long Jump – Steve Morris, U7–U10, 4:30–5:15 pm
• Long/Triple Jump – Steve Morris, U11–U17, 5:15–6:15 pm
• Sprints – Mike Donato, 5:00–6:00 pm
• Race Walking – Eden Morgan, 5:30–6:30 pm
• Throws – David Kearsley, 5:30 pm & Mike Donato, 6:00–7:00 pm

Thinking about Little Athletics for the 2026/27 season? Come down to Knox Little Athletics Tryout Day and see what we’re all about!

Athletes from U6 to U17 are welcome, and no previous athletics experience is needed.

🏆 Why Knox?

Knox Little Athletics has been part of the local community since 1968 and has a proud history of developing athletes of all abilities.

We’re also proud to have achieved State Champion honours for the past three seasons!

Registered Knox athletes also receive FREE coaching across all athletics events throughout the season, helping everyone from beginners through to experienced athletes improve their skills and achieve new personal bests.

👟 Want to trial Little Athletics first?
New athletes can trial Little Athletics for up to two weeks. More information about trials is available through the Little Athletics Victoria website.

📅 Our first Knox competition for the new season is Saturday 3 October 2026.

☀️ And there’s even more value in your registration – athletes who register for the 2026/27 Summer Track & Field season can also take part in our 2027 Winter Cross Country program, commencing in May.
