The World Cup gets underway this week in England and a number of Vikings players who have pulled on the Red V in the past few years are competing including a number of Aussies, a kiwi and even a referee.
Congratulations to:

Bec Beath and Kim Grant in the Aussie W27s
Toby Krusec in the Aussie M30s
Nick Grant in Aussie Senior Mixed
Dean Taylor and Trung Le in the Aussie M45s
and also a big congratulations to Simon Croft who is one of the referees attending the World Cup. Simon played for Vikings in his much younger days before he picked up a whistle.

Congratulations to all those selected to compete for their respective countries or officiate at the World Cup and we look forward to following the results this week.

Congratulations to Vikings players Elise and Chloe for selection into the NSW Touch Football Emerging Blues squad.

We are pleased to announce the NSW Touch Football Emerging Blues Squads.

The first Emerging Blues camp will take place at the NSWRL Centre of Excellence on November 11/12.

The objective is to offer continuous Education, Training, and Developmental opportunities to young athletes who have been identified for potential future NSW representation.

The program is designed to have two training camps annually in the lead-up to the 2025 SOO series.

Summer touch starts in 4 weeks. Vikings touch are looking for players in Under 8s and 10s as well as anyone 13+ interested in playing Mens or Womens.

Touch Football ACT

Vikings Touch are getting set for a big summer of Touch with Adult and Junior teams in the TFACT competitions. This will be the first year Vikings enter Junior teams so we are on the lookout for any players who might be interested in giving touch a try.

Vikings will be looking at forming teams in the junior competitions in Under 8s, 10s and 12s with games played on Thursdays at Deakin commencing on 11 October. We will also be holding some come and try sessions before the season starts so anyone interested in junior touch can find a bit more about it before signing up.

We will also have teams for players 12 years and older in Mens and Womens competitions including the Mens A grade on Wednesdays and Womens A grade on Thursdays perfect for those players with some experience looking to build on their skills and knowledge of the game.

Two days of Junior State Cup in Wagga have been played in sweltering conditions. Canberra teams Brindies and Magic have teams in many divisions that have toiled away through days 1 and 2 with a number still in contention with finals day ahead. Well done to all players,coaches and parents so far and good luck to those teams in finals games.

Good luck to all the ACT Raiders heading to NSW State of Origin trials this weekend and in particular to our Vikings players Elise Wilson, Keesha Kapea, Bec Beath, Kim Grant, Rach Platt, Dean Taylor and former player Cody Giumelli as well as our coaches who were also selected in NSW squads Colm Maguire, Chris Tarlinton and Doug Witt. Great to see so many Vikings in the running to represent the Blues in this years State of Origin to be held in August in Coffs Harbour.
