Sunday the 14th of June will be Race 5 in the Winter Series Point score for the DF95s.

The course was set and adjusted twice.

Some were ready to go at 1pm, some were finishing lunch from the Wangi RSL.

So a delayed start with the threat of a storm front,

So got in 3 heats then rain seemed eminent spitting and so forth,

Started the next heat then the rain cleared and was left with a 5 knot swinging breeze.

Fun sailing, the DF95s go real well in a straight line but stall one and it can be a bit of time to regain control.

So who went well at the sailing?

Scott with 5 wins won the day.

2nd Wayne (me) with 2 wins and other good finishes.

3rd Daryl super consistent,

4th Jacko with 3 wins.

Super close racing as the scores reflect.

Vids to come.

Sunday the 14th of June will be Race 5 in the Winter Series Point score for the Df65s.

Greeted with a lack of wind, So started a little late, sailed a heat on the eastern jetty, then the wind came in from the other side.

West side was the go, so we sailed there for the rest of the day.

The wind shifts were extra large, Good when on the correct side of them.

So we got 10 heats in and Scott won the day with 4 wins. Was well under the pump but turned things around at the end.

2nd Jacko with 4 wins,

3rd Jamie J from the Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club R C group. Plus achieved a win.

4th Daryl
And a mention that Murray also scored a win.

Good close racing.

Race 4 in the Winter series point score.

DF95s in the afternoon, Conditions the same as morning tho wind kept easing as time went on.

2nd Lisa with a win.

3rd Jack being consistent.

4th Chris with a win.

Oh have a think about sailing next weekend at Port hunter DF65 TT Kings Cup on the Sunday.

Ahoy R C sailors and followers, Race Report.

Race 4 in the Winter series point score.

So was greeted with a north westly wind gusting up to 15knots at the start.

So sailed from the bank and on the jetty was 2 large house boats on the windward side of the jetty of course…. Major wind shadow….

On hindsight we should have moved the course down wind another 20 metres….

So DF65 were up 1st.

1st and 2nd heat was windy but then things eased off a bit and the A+ rigged yachts took over.

It was a 2 way race at the front ,with Murray, with 5 heat wins, won the day, from Scott, with 4 heat wins and 1 point back.

Phil 3rd and a point back Chris 4th.

Bruce and I ended on same points but I jagged a win at the end.
