Wangaratta Netball Association Inc. Wangaratta Netball Association provides girls and boys with a safe environment to learn, practice and undertake the art of Netball.

Netball represents a significant part of Wangaratta's vibrant sporting culture. Wangaratta Netball Association was formed in 1937. Today it has over 1400 registered members. WNA runs three main competitions, a Saturday morning competition, Wednesday night competition and a NETSETGO program. The NETSETGO program has 2 tiers. NETSETGO Tier 1 is for players aged between 5 and 7 years old and teaches

skills and drills. NETSETGO Tier 2 is for players aged between 8 and 10 and the players play a modified game of netball. Players then proceed onto the Junior Competition for players aged between 10 and 17. Today, the Wangaratta Netball Association is located at the Barr Reserve in Schilling Drive, Wangaratta. It currently has 15 courts available to use with a control room, clubroom, canteen, changerooms, toilets and 3 spectator shelters. Wangaratta Netball Association is run by a dedicated team of volunteers and continues to provide support and encouragement to all players. The Wangaratta Netball Association also sponsor Representative teams who compete in local tournaments held by other clubs and associations and end their season competing in the annual zone championships in Victoria. Each year, Wangaratta Netball Association hosts it's own tournament with competitions for 11 & Under, 13 & Under, 5 & Under and 17 & Under.

This week we have Silence on the Sidelines.
The rules are simple -
1. No coaching from anyone on the sidelines.
2. Only the coach may talk to the players at break times.
3. Parents / Spectators may applaud positive play.

What we should expect -
1. Children will play as they see fit. If they make mistakes, who cares, they will learn from this.
2. Children get a chance to concentrate on the game and find their own solutions.
3. Allowing children to communicate with each other and make team decisions.

On Sunday the 31st May, Wangaratta Netball Association in partnership with Albury Netball Association, Netball Wodonga Incorporated, and Albury Indoor Netball Association held the 3rd Annual Northeast Junior Netball Carnival.

Players came from all around the north east to play for their club or association. The weather was chilly but the sun came out to help dry out the courts and the rain stayed away.
