🖤💛 U14 GRAND FINAL — A SEASON TO BE PROUD OF 💛🖤
There’s nothing quite like Grand Final day — and what a day it was for our U14 Warriors. The weather was perfect for footy, and after a fantastic week of preparation and training, the team was ready to give it everything.
The Demons came out firing, kicking a couple of early goals, but the Warriors refused to let the game get away from them. They fought their way back into the contest and started to build momentum. Jacob was dangerous up forward, while Koda was lively and hitting the scoreboard as the Warriors worked their way back into the game.
The second quarter was an even and fiercely contested battle, with both teams having a red-hot crack. We had a couple of opportunities in front of goal that just didn’t go our way, including one that was touched on the line. The Demons managed to sneak through a score in the dying seconds of the quarter, giving them some valuable momentum heading into half-time.
The third quarter proved difficult for the Warriors. We struggled to get on the scoreboard while the Demons defended brilliantly and made it incredibly difficult to find a way through.
Heading into the final quarter three goals down, it was always going to be a tough ask — but this group never stopped fighting. The Warriors continued to battle right until the final siren, with Kobe, Fionn and Tyler running their hearts out alongside every one of their teammates.
Unfortunately, the Demons were better on the day.
But while the result wasn’t what we wanted, there is so much to be proud of. 💛🖤
Congratulations to every player on a terrific season. What you have achieved together as a team, and individually, has been incredible. Every one of you improved throughout the year, challenged yourselves and continued to grow, and I could not be more proud of you all.
It has been an absolute pleasure to coach this group, and I want to thank every player for your dedication, commitment and effort throughout the season. You should all be incredibly proud of what you have achieved.

💛 All our parents — thank you for your incredible support throughout the season. From the sidelines to training, travel and everything in between, it certainly doesn’t go unnoticed.
🖤 Our committee — thank you for your continued support throughout the entire year.
And finally, to our U14 Warriors — what a season. What a team. What a journey.
The scoreboard may not have gone our way on Grand Final day, but you gave everything you had, and you have given this club plenty to be proud of.
Hold your heads high, Warriors. You should be incredibly proud of what you achieved this season. ⚡
